We’d never heard of Larry Griswold until we ran across this old clip. Admittedly, this is not our typical story, but Griswold is not your typical show business act.
Look at it this way: You have to be pretty damn good to get Frank Sinatra to introduce you.

The greatest act ever was that dood who used to drink kerosene and water and shoot flames out of his mouth. There used to be a tape of Judy Garland talking about that guy on the (I think) Tonight Show in the early 60s but it diappeared from YouTube. Find THAT guy's tape and be amazed.
Fascinating to read about this Larry Griswold -- actually invented the trampoline that he used in the act! His bio says he did these kinds of acts until suffering a career-ending injury in 1973...at the age of 68!
I laughed myself silly. Not something I do with what jokingly passes for comedy these days. Compare this to Two and a Half Men which, in my opinion, is nothing more than smut and about as funny as a compund fracture. And it takes a special talent to make themselves look that bad. I loved it. Remember Red Skelton and Uncle Miltie anyone?
That kid on Two and A Half Men is gonna be divorced twice and busted for drugs and a DWI well before his 21st birthday. He'll have his parents and Charlie to thank.
These kind of cheesy family oriented skits just don't seem to be around any more. This was really funny, no T and A, no profanity, no blasphemy, I loved it. Oh for the good old days when we still knew who our enemies were, men were men, women were women and we didn't care about the rest!
I concur. I miss funny that's just funny - not "edgy," not shocking - just funny.
And the guy's expertise is so astounding! The careful rehearsal needed to make that appear as bumbling! It's mind-boggling!
In this instance, I love the media!
OK, that's the fuinniest thing I've seen in my life! Remember Inspector Clouseau going off the parallel bars and down the stairwell? This is like that cranked up to 11 and going on for 4 minutes!
Utter brilliance!
