  Just predicted it 30 years sooner.

• What a bunch of crap. Political correctness is out of control. The Indiana State Supreme Court is an embarrassment to the people of the state of Indiana. It's time to remove those who believe in political correctness from office and power.

• Is calling an "illegal alien" an "illegal alien" the same as calling Keith Olbermann an "insufferable dumb ass"?

  I need to know. I really need to know.

• Political correctness now officially trumps the truth in a court of law.

• Well . . . I hate to say it (almost as much as I hate admitting I'm a lawyer), but the usage was not as a simple descriptive, and it was in an official legal communication. I don't know about suspension, but even I would agree that he acted very unprofessionally here.

  • Uhm... I have to disagree with you on this... Not sure how calling someone something that they are and it is an accepted term, an unprofessional move....?

• And furthermore, I suppose we must now refer to those formerly known as "illegal aliens" as "non-traditional citizens".

• Maybe they felt that people's feelings would be hurt. However tough luck. If they are that then they are. The PC world we live in is going to erode our rights of thought and expression.

  • Hurt feelings are becoming actionable provided the "victim" falls under certain protected categories... the stuff of demagogues here.

    • Read it and weep. Seriously, when you have a couple minutes read the whole thing (but if you're like me it's NSFW, what with all the mean nasty things I was shouting @ the screen).

• Like with the case of the airman who's being prosecuted for saying that he disagrees with in gay marriage, we see someone whose career is in jeopardy for thinking or saying something that was perfectly OK to think or say a few short years ago.

  And what has changed? Has a new law been added that says these thoughts or words are now illegal and anyone expressing such will be prosecuted? Nope. Just a wave of popular public thought.

  Do current waves of popular thought have the power of law?
