Lena Dunham Skewers “Puritanical” USA. But don’t take our word for it:
“In some ways America is at its most puritanical,” Lena Dunham said Saturday at the Sundance Film Festival’s Power of Story: Serious Ladies panel when addressing some of the reaction she and her HBO show has received. “The fact is people are forgetting that humor is a tool for debate,” she added. “That boycott, censorship, shut ‘em down approach to humor shows a very basic lack of understanding of what humor can do for us culturally and what it has always done,” Dunham said to applause.
You might think that after getting caught fabricating details of a possible rape (and let us be clear, the fact that she is a proven liar cannot be used to conclude that a crime did not occur) and allowing an innocent man to stand accused of that heinous act (for, it would seem, little other reason than he is a Republican) proto child molester Lena Dunham would refrain from maligning others for the puritanical devotion to correct-think that her camp is so thoroughly and demonstrably guilty of. But no, Dunham has instead decided to double down on the deceit. Likely because when you’ve the misfortune of not only being a narcissist but a narcissist with her particular set of unfortunate circumstances you’ll take the attention any way you can.

Why is this woman even in the news?!? What is so significant about her and her views? Her 15 min of fame should have been over by now instead of continuously gracing the internet!!!
Her and Moby Moore would make a great pair, Keep them both at SeaWorld in a tank....Other than something to look at and shake your head, Lena has no use whatsoever.....She is a known liar, and about half a case short of lightbulbs...If Lena were to be found in a hotel room, stiff as a board laying next a bunch of pills and alcohol bottles, it would not bother me in the least.

Why shouldn't I approach her "comedy" with what she calls a "shut 'em down approach," if, as she clearly states, comedy is a tool of propaganda?
She wants to see what comedy "can do for us culturally," without understanding what it can do TO us culturally.
It's like that Jon Stewart assh*le. He wants to be part of the political debate with his jokes... until you call him on it! Then he's all "Hey! It's just a comedy show!"
