Jcrowley1985 it is time to face it Ron Paul is not going to even be on the ballot this time around. Yes we are saddled with less than an ideal candidate. I wanted Santorum to be the nominee and it did not happen. From your handle i will take it that you are not thirty yet. Having been around a bit longer let me share some advise I once got. Sometimes you are going to have a lose. When that happens you need to learn the lessons from the lose and turn it around and make it into a win the next time.
I will admit that Congressman Paul has some very good domestic ideas. His foreign policies are not so much. We live in a very dangerous and unpredictable world that does require to have interactions with other nations. I also believe that if we give our money (tax payers) to a foreign country they need to accept the conditions that goes along with it.
Hopefully Senator Rand Paul will have a much better chance at becoming President Paul. He is cut from the same cloth as his father.

Rand Paul was thinking about running this time, but basically decided he wasn't going to run against his Dad. I can see Rand Paul potentially putting together a winning coalition of Libertarians, fiscal conservatives, social conservatives and maybe even some moderates and liberals in a way his father just couldn't.
We won't survive 4 years of Romney's war mongering and selling out to corporate interests, so noone else will get the chance to run for president.

Rand has a bit of the olde charisma of which his father seems quite deficient. While his dad sounded ready to toss Israel under the bus in his anti-aid tirades, I'm not sure Rand shares that sentiment. In any case, while his dad was a better choice over Mitt in many regards, he remains completely unelectable for too many reasons. I think it would be a great boon for the ticket to express an interest in putting Dr. Paul in charge of the Treasury. Burning the FED out of existence is a noble goal.
