Have you ever seen those 8th grade tests from the 1920's and 1930's?
Most college students couldn't pass them today, and with Common Core, I doubt People with Doctorate's degrees could pass.

love this. When I was a child I read an entry in Ripley's Believe it or not that a Pastor of a small church was struck during the service with the need to sing this hymn. He actually had the congregation sing it at the close of the service. It was later determined that they were singing at the time of the sinking of the Titanic. It made a great impression on me!
Interesting the last Titanic song as reported by survivors played by the band was "Nearer My G-d to Thee". The ship was not properly blessed and the arrogance of the owners and builders... extreme... that ship was doomed. I've been to a Titanic exhibition it was interesting.

Children of lazy parents , learn by example and tend to be lazy . Parents that over eat , teach their children by example , modeling the eating habits . Parents that are angry and abusive , brand this into their childrens minds and they too , tend to be abusers .How a parent treat those they claim to love , is normally a mirror image of the relationship they were raised in . And so it goes , on and on.......
Low intelligence , lack of motavations , lack of disernment , lack of morality , lack of judgement or common sense , lack of desire ......... , all primarily molded by those that raised us . With the traditional family ( Father and Mother ) being under constant attack by those that believe otherwise , and a failed example being offered in its place , can only set the stage for social disaster on a scale we have never seen .

I have 2 nieces and 2 nephews that were home schooled. They are so much smarter than the kids I have seen come out of public schools, that I'm betting they could challenge and pass testing for a minimum of a Bachelors Degree, with only High School education.
Five areas of academic pursuit were measured. In reading, the average home-schooler scored at the 89th percentile; language, 84th percentile; math, 84th percentile; science, 86th percentile; and social studies, 84th percentile. In the core studies (reading, language and math), the average home-schooler scored at the 88th percentile.
The average public school student taking these standardized tests scored at the 50th percentile in each subject area.
Our fine public education system....in all 57 states.....
Believing that you can exist in a world where you don't have to work because the rich will take care of your needs, after all, you deserve to live off of the labor of others just because you breathe.
I had seen that piece... proof that one should pass a competency test before voting- the problem with that being who is going to administer such a test and who is going to define what competence is?
