• There is a store in Breezewood Pa that sells bottled farts.

• Once you stand next to Obama the people he has such distain for i.e. the working,white,taxpayer no longer will buy your product.

  • If I were starting a business I wouldn't want Obama anywhere near it. He can cause companies to fail even if he dumps a bunch of our money into them. I think at this rate it will take him less than the next four years to put America out of business.

• That's too bad. It looks like good quality work although solid wood furniture is fairly expensive, which is why most of the stuff you get is particleboard with plastic or wood veneer glued on top.

  • For solid wood furniture, find some Amish and buy from them.
    I have seen their work, and it is top quality stuff. It would last several lifetimes if cared for properly.

    My lifestyle has been rather transitory, so owning such furniture would not be convenient for myself, but for a person with a stable lifestyle, and the cash to part with, Amish is the way to go.

    • Amish are pretty much everywhere now. As the land became scarce in their usual areas of residence, they started branching out. We have Amish and Mennonite in Texas, near Bastrop (a few miles east of Austin). And they are always running ads for "Amish in Texas" for furniture. It is solid wood, beautiful and beautifully made. I expect it is not cheap, but it is probably the only stuff you will ever buy for a lifetime, and can be passed down to other family members after you are gone. THey will also use it for a lifetime, then pass it down.

      • We ran across a group of Mennonites in Tijuana. I have no idea what led them there.

        • Know about it, won't watch. A lot of these "shows" are fake. That show about the Amish "kids" going to New York to see if they want to continue in the faith is so fake. Disgusting.

        • I always wondered who was paying for those NYC hotel rooms. Is there really that much money in being Amish?

        • There is a lot of farmland laying around doing nothing in Tiajuana.

        • That is the media take on rumspringer, which literally means "running around." At that age (usually late teens) they are not yet baptized into the chyrch. They can experiment a bit with dating and some go alll out to live an English lifestyle, good or bad. If they never return to the church,they are mourned and generally asked not to come to visit. If they return and are baptized, they are welcome back in the fold. If they are baptized and THEN leave, they are shunned by the entire community until and unless they return and confess and get forgiven to return to the church. Most of the kids don't go nuts, but a few do. And increasingly more are choosing not to be baptized and live under the Ordung

        • That could be true that they are rich and so on but the "kids" in that show LEFT their religion for years, they were PRETENDING to still be part of it. One girl was doing porn or something like that. So the premise was wrong.

        • And the land is now worth in the millions. So yes, they are that rich, but its all tied up. And since the land is no longer available in abundance, they are moving whole communities to other locations, like Colorado, Montana, etc so the younger generation can start their farms

        • Yes. Family farms that have been passed down for centuries, little to no property tax, no car payments, insurance, maintenance, gasoline, no electric, no TV, x-box, computers, DVDS, etc, grow ALL your own food.
          Kinda makes for nothing much to spend your money on!

        • I saw one episode, but it isn't that interesting to me.

        • I refuse to watch even one episode. I sat through one of the other Amish shows, and it was just too stupid for words.

    • My brother in law lives in Amish territory in Ohio, Amish furniture is definitely the way to go!

  • Even the real expensive designer stuff is generally particleboard with a veneer.
