  • So... one of his bodyguards apparently committed suicide.... there is a story going around anyone heard about that?

  • I believe that what we will find, ultimately, is that he lied about being a foriegn student in order to get his way paid through college. He had the records sealed to prevent anyone from uncovering his fraud. That's just for starters. He may have been born in Hawaii like he claims, but he was raised in Indonesia. His upbringing was completely foriegn to the American experience.

  • The media won't connect the dots on Obama, making themselves laughable because so many others have connected the dots, but search Sarah Palin's garbage cans. As Hillary was losing to Obama in 2008, Bill said somewhere down south: "This whole thing is the biggest fairy tale."

  • I find it curious that he is supposed to be the smartest person on the planet, yet he does so many stupid things.

  • Nothing wrong here, nothing to see, move on! this will never see the light of headlines, if you question anything about the emperor, you're labeled a racist. obama and his hand picked racist pack of marxist have done more damage to this nation than any terror group could conceive of "but perhaps that was the plan in the first place!"

  • If his mother was a citizen, he was born a citizen. Doesn't matter where in the world he was born. The only question concerning his citizenship, to me, is did his mother renounce his citizenship for him so he could attend school in Indonesia? And if so, when/how did he regain it?

    • If there's no problem because his mother is American, then why the never-ending scam? Why the sealed records? Why the Photoshopped birth certificate? Why the press release from his publicist saying he was born in Kenya, then the sudden change before he ran for prez?

      Why not just say "I was born in Kenya; my mother was American, next question..."?

    • Not the point. The Constitution specifically requires that a presidential candidate be a natural born citizen, not merely a citizen. He is not a natural born citizen if his father is Barack Obama Sr. Plain and simple.

      • If his mom was a citizen then he's a natural born citizen. Otherwise, all kids born to parents where one is from another country aren't natural born citizens? Or if they are born overseas because their parents are in the military (not all are born on military bases)? I'm not arguing that there aren't legitimate questions on this topic. Just what those questions actually are.

        • No. If his mom is a citizen then he's a citizen. That makes him eligible for Congress or any other political position. For president the Constitution specifically requires something more. A natural born citizen must have both parents be U.S. citizens and at least one of those parents must fulfill residency requirements before the birth. Obama fails on two counts: one of his parents was a foreigner and his mother did not fulfill the residency requirement. (The latter is somewhat debatable, the former is not debatable.)

          • Many, many people confuse the 'natural born' citizen clause in the US Constitution. When it was written it would have been crystal clear to the reader that both parents were required to be resident citizens of the US at the time of the birth of the person running for the office. The President is no mere senator or representative, he is one third of the power equation in the governance of the nation; he needs to be a natural born citizen who is not beholden to foreign kings and dictators...like the current occupooper-in-chief is.

          • The problem is that the term was never actually defined. By that standard - "resident citizens" - McCain wasn't either, as his parents were not resident in the US. The delimiting ends of the term are clear: born here of citizen parents => naturalized citizen, but there are a range of possibilities in the middle which have just never been thoroughly addressed.

          • The difference is McCain was born in Panama Canal Zone, at the time an American Protectorate, and both his parents were American citizens. Technically he was born on American soil.

            Personally I don't think Obama is qualified looking at the Constitution as it was written. I don't care if he was born in Bumfuck, Iowa, his father is not an American citizen and as such is disqualified from holding our highest office.

          • And the fact that this doesn't matter to our judicial system shows that we are no longer a constitutional republic. People think this issue was settled and Obama won, but in fact no challenge was ever heard to its denouement. Every single case was thrown out for lack of "standing." Apparently, nobody has standing to challenge an unconstitutional president. Obama and the Democrats staged a coup, overthrowing the repubic right in front of us.

          • It's not "resident citizens." It's a residency requirement. I can't remember exactly but it's something like 3 years of residency within the U.S. after reaching the age of 18 - certainly not a stringent requirement for the vast majority of citizens. Trouble is, Obama's mother was only 18 which makes it impossible for her to have had 3 years of residency after age 18. That's why I say that one is a dubious fail because she certainly had 3 years.

          • I'm not the one who tossed up the phrase "resident citizen," just to be clear. I have no question about McCain.

          • Exactly. That's why the residency part of the definition is as important as the citizenship of the parents. The Founders were paranoid about having a president beholden to foreign countries and Obama is the ultimate example. He has an inherent dislike for the United States because of who raised him and how they raised him. He's basically a foreigner with U.S. citizenship.
