Bonfire of the Absurdities: After 35 year career writing software for IBM mainframes, am now self-employed contractor thinking of joining a union and striking for higher wages. Cured morbid fear of heights when I learned to look at them as lengths standing on end. Uncompromising in refusal to accept browser cookies. Amateur investor who has accumulated a small fortune in the market after starting out years ago with a large one. For recreation, I run, hike, kayak and play tennis but will not consider synchronized swimming under any circumstances.

      He is a documented dirty cheater, surrounded by dirty, lying liar cheaters. He was either a) intimidated by Romney b) so narcissistic that he thought he would win just by being there c) shocked that anyone would say such things to his face or d) too tired from all the partying -I mean- FUNDRAISING. Or e) all of the above.

        • I have my doubts how smart he is at all. He is an "affirmative action" guy. He is educated, but I seriously doubt that he is all that smart. He parrots the party line pretty well (ON prompter) but I can't say I have EVER heard him say anything "smart" in an interview or whatever. He doesn't seem like he has much of a sense of humor either.

  • It's almost sad to see how fast the librats are jumping ship. I mean, I am glad they are - but wow! Talk about fair-weather friends! If he were my guy, I would do everything I could to justify his performance - even going as far as Gore did - although I would have guessed O had the flu or something...

    But these "supporters" are harsh and unforgiving. I wonder what they would do if Obama somehow, miraculously, gave a stellar performance next time. How do they walk back abandoning him?

    Then again - maybe they are not quite as stupid as we think they are. Maybe somewhere in their tiny pea-brains they KNOW that O is a fraud, that he is destroying the nice country that we live in, and that he is waaaaaaaaaaay over his head? Maybe they were just waiting for the rest of the crowd to start in on him, so they could too, like a pack of salivating wolves? Or maybe (much more likely) they are just horrid, nasty people who want someone new in office that they are allowed to mock and attack? The past four years have probably been really hard for the "comics" - not being able to pick on The One.
