Yet another subtle apologist piece disguised as criticism... based on the premise that "Obamacare" was actually intended to make health insurance affordable when in fact that was nothing more than the bill of goods we were sold as its intent. If the objectives were as wholesome as Ms Noonan assets then they wouldn't have needed to keep the whole damn thing such a big secret until after it was rammed through.
No one seems willing to stop and think of the law through the prism of its passage and of the specific untrue claims and deliberate deception undertaken by everyone involved in perpetuating the legislative albatross- whose implementation was delayed for political purposes... if the aim was as wholesome as the premise assumes then they wouldn't have known to delay parts of the law- nor would they have granted numerous waivers to political supporters, personal friends, and members of congress if the law was actually what it was cracked up to be.
The sum total of this criminal administration's actions related to its illegal and unconstitutional "not a tax"... oops, it's only constitutional if it is a tax power and money grabbing law amounts to willful and completely unethical deception. the American people got hoodwinked and the manner by which the ACA came about reflects the intent to deceive... the website was deliberately half-assed and could be nothing more than a placebo button to convince easily gulled half-wits that Obamacare is actually about enabling through insurance the delivery of cost effective health care- yet the complete lack of addressing any underlying costs apart from adding new taxes demonstrates to me beyond any doubt that the true intent has nothing to do with reducing costs- it has to do with power- putting peoples life and death in the hands of an administration that has already shown that it isn't above using agency power to harass those deemed to be politically inconvenient.
This administration has shown that it is vindictive, murderous, and evil. There's no way in hell it should be allowed to administer health insurance to its subjects... and yes, we are no longer citizens, we are the subjects of tyranny.

When everyone was going gaga over his speech at the DNC thinl was it 2004? and people were all like he should be President... Due to a stupid speech? After that when he came around and he was Senator for less than a year he started essentially campaigning I couldn't believe it. I had no respect for this man. He never had my confidence never.
Even Hillary took a stab at mocking the power of that speech, and caught hell for it. She basically made the point that experience had to matter, beyond mere words.
I mean, I will say that some portions of the speech have merit. But its just words. I still don't see Obama having the usual qualities that we expect as head of the Executive

With that said it is true that he (Obama) had a lot of help to get where he got, and he is not really that smart of a person. I find it interesting how people were so concerned about Bush and Palin and what they read, but so far other than that first year I don't recall very much concern or questions about Obama's reading schedule and what he reads for fun or on vacation.
