The Cocoa Puffs picture takes me back to my childhood days of Frankenberry, Count Chocula, and Captain Crunch. With regards to McCain, I think of Rush Limbaugh's statement that there basically are no great moderates in history.

John McCain has my utmost respect as a Vietnam War hero. Other than that...
In 2008, he proved he's the equivalent of a boat anchor capable of holding fast the S.S. Palin.
Yet you still fell for the same tricks with Romney.
John, there was a lot of support on these threads for Santorum, Gingrich, Cain, Bachmann, etc, last year. But when you get down to two candidates, sometimes you just have to hold your nose and vote for the considerably lesser of two evils. In 2008, I was for Brownback, Huckabee, and then Romney before McCain, but they lost. I am also no fan of the Republicans' continued nominating of candidates with mushy moderate histories lacking charisma and communication skills, but the voters in the party ultimately decide. With the possibility of Rubio, Rand Paul, Ryan, Walker, Christie, or maybe Santorum in 2016, I'm hoping we'll at last have a decent candidate.
flashingscotsman can speak for himself, but I think he said he voted for the Libertarian candidate last year.
No to Rubio or Christie. Rubio has an amnesty bill he's trying to push through congress, and Christie has proven himself soft when dealing with Dems and has a bad record on gun rights.
It would seem that being a war hero doesn't exactly qualify a person to be a leader.
