Harry Reid-backed Nevada Geothermal: another Solyndra? “A year and a half and $145 million in taxpayer financing later, and the company that built the [Nevada Geothermal] plant is in dire financial straits.” Green energy is a kind of cosmic black hole for taxpayer money: any that gets close to it is sucked down an abyss, never to be seen again. Speaking of black holes, we wish we could get Barry and Harry tickets on the first starship that gets too close to one.

I had looked into geothermal when I lived in NJ. They were installing it in individual residences. It was supposed to solve my heating and cooling cost problems. Unfortunately, it cost more than 10 years of utility bills to have it installed, and there was no guarantee that you would ever save enough to pay for the initial outlay. The idea of using the stable temperature of the earth 30 or so feet down is great in theory, but the temp there is in the 50 degree range, hardly enough to keep you from having to turn the auxillary heat, although it should work well for cooling. The benefit just didn't outweigh the cost.
Now, my mother was conned into getting solar panels installed on the roof of her house. The deal was that she didn't pay for the units or installation, but she paid 4 years of electric bills, based on past use, up front! Then she would supposedly be selling excess electric back to the utility company. One problem, there was no storage for power generated so that if she lost power due to a storm, that she would be able to keep the house running! When that hurricane hit the Northeast this summer, she lost power, and the solar panels didn't do shit! She still had no power, just like everyone else!
My brother and I tried to talk her out of getting this thing, but she had already signed the contracts before telling us that she was considering it!
There are more "green" scams out there than you can imagine, and they are preying on the poor and elderly, with the blessing of the Obama Admin!
Huh...A politician in hot water over a company in hot water over a government loan to drill for hot water.. Liberals sure make good comedy. Tea anyone? I mean after all the hot water will go to waste....
These are two more examples of the corruption that reigns in our government.
Consider also what just happened in a federal court in Texas. A Dallas business owner was involved in a civil dispute and paid millions of dollars to lawyers, and when he objected to their fees, they had a “friendly” judge seize all of his property, without any notice or hearing, and essentially ordered him to be an involuntary servant to the lawyers. The business owner has been under this "servant" order for 10 months and is prohibited from owning any possessions, prohibited from working, etc...

So today alone we see the stock market tanking, the debt going up by 1/10th of one trillion dollars, American Airlines about to collapse, pictures of Obama with black militant racists, Obama's signature car (Volt) in sales shambles, and an Obama taxpayer-financed Big Corporate green project (Nevada Geothermal Power) about to declare bankruptcy.
And this is only today.
