Michelle: ‘There Were Actually Laws in America that Allowed Discrimination Against Black People Like Me’

Michelle: ‘There Were Actually Laws in America that Allowed Discrimination Against Black People Like Me’. Yes there were. And they were deplorable, disgusting and the shame of those that feel the state has the authority to establish two, or more, sets of rules for America. Unfortunately those people are still with us. And our beloved First Lady is married to one of them.

  • This woman would bitch if her ice cream was cold.....The only difference is she has a new audience to bitch and moan to....I am sure all those Chinese that slave away in the rebok and nike factories really care about what the Wookie says...

  • beloved first lady, that's funny! I'm hoping that fucking dolt stays in China where she belongs, with other party members who think they are above the serfs, though they've never worked a day in their collective lives-sort of like Mooch and Barry!

  • America has come a long way towards racial equality, too bad the 'leadership' of the last 5 years prefers to ramp up the hate and discontent that was at least lying dormant if not actually subsiding.

    • Even though it would be nice that there were no racists, the truth of the matter is that racists exists, they will always exist and that is just life.

The only issues I have with racists is when they take away other people's lives or property or rights. That is when the Government can and should get involved. Not being given food at a restaurant or being insulted is not something the government should be involved in.

I should be able to discriminate when I want to in my private business or association. It is only and only if I am working for or contracted by the government that I should not be allowed to discriminate. It is a very easy situation to understand. The Government however complicates things only for the purpose of control.

      • I have to respectfully disagree with some of your comment Miss K. Pretend you're discussing where to go to lunch with your co-workers. Everyone agrees on Bob's Diner and everyone heads there for lunch. The gang gets in but Kimmy can't because she's black. You really OK with that? So as a show of solidarity, the gang says to heck with Bob's, let's eat across the street at another place. Kimmy gets in, but your white co-worker doesn't. You leave there only to have your Asian co-worker denied entry at the next place. You can apply the same concept to job hunting, housing, shopping, etc.

I agree, racism exists and it is here to stay. But surely you can't be on board with private business selectively excluding people based on gender, race or sex.

        • Yes. I am really okay with that.

          Two things:

          1. If my co-workers stay, I know now that these people are okay with racism or are racists. So two things:

1 a. I can go back to work and ask for human resources and my co-workers to talk about the environment or the culture of the company and if the company is okay with this. Since they stayed and did not leave with me, working there is going to be an issue. If through mediation my co-workers and I can find a middle ground that works for everyone great. If my co-workers and/or the company sees no problem with this, it is time to get another job. So GOOD to know where my co-workers are on racial discrimination so I can either get a mediation going, perhaps they get fired if the boss doesn't like that or I leave. It is that simple.

2 a. I can leave my co-workers at the restaurant, go back to work give them my notice, if it is necessary, and find another job or start my own business... I don't know... maybe a restaurant or a diner called Kimmy's Diner within a 5 mile radius of Bob's Diner where I make damn sure to let anyone know that Blacks are very much welcome to come and eat there. Take in that money... Capitalism has won.

Extra: If my co-workers leave with me and do not go there and tell others of this practice, then obviously that makes me feel good about who I work with.

          2. It is good to know what businesses I should support or not. If the owner is a racist but doesn't actively discriminate, and even worst than being a racist, he is a major donor or supporter of the KKK/Neo-Nazism, I am given him my money!!!! Hell no! I like honesty. If he is a racist and he doesn't want me there, it is good for me to know. So I can avoid the place, go elsewhere with my co-workers/friends. I don't risk eating something that it is not for human consumption. All I see here is positive things baby. I don't give them my money nor my time, and go elsewhere for food or brown bag it and go to the park or whatever. In addition two things:

1 b. I can go on living my life like it is golden.

2 b. If I feel strongly about it, I can open or help someone else open a diner and be a competition for that diner where I or the partner are very welcoming of Black patrons and take that money and Capitalism has won.

What's the problem? He can hate all he wants! It doesn't affect me that he has a discriminatory practice in his dinky ass diner! Why should I force him to accept me? When I can EASILY get my beautiful and bountiful Black ass and give my money to someone who is happy to see me?

So answer me THIS question: A Neo Nazi with Nazi's tattoes like the swastika or Hitler's birthday comes into Kimmy's Diner... Are you SERIOUSLY telling me that I HAVE to serve him? A member of the KKK comes in and I know that he is a member or even worst actually walks in with KKK regalia... are you telling me that I HAVE to serve him? I have to serve a woman that walks in with a sign "All Ni**ers should die!"? Seriously?

The truth of the matter my friend is that there are MORE people who are not racists and/or actively practice discriminatory practices in public areas but have private businesses. Your example is, in my opinion, extremely extreme. It is based on an erroneous presumption that most people operate on a discriminatory or hateful point of view. Most people even if perhaps they would PREFER someone over someone else based on superficial reasons are motivated by income/money/profit. If their hate is really strong or they have legitimate philosophies that are not hateful but are strong and prevents them from serving some people, that is their right.

In such an example as yours, this is essentially my answer: Brown bag it and go to a public/state city/town park (where discrimination should not be allowed) or brown bag it and eat in the business or work cafeteria. Another solution is to go out of the way to support a place that does serve myself and my co-workers. Support new businesses that have more open doors, CREATE a business that has more open doors.

Let's remember my main point here that I said in an above post: The problem is and always been the government. The reason why slavery was okay and fought for so badly by (mostly Democrats) was because THE GOVERNMENT failed to abide by the Constitution where it was made clear that all MEN (big M as in humanity) were essentially free and that this freedom comes from a Higher Power not from the Government. Due to fears (some made sense) and bitch assedness, the Framers did not live through those words. So slavery remained even though the Constitution ALREADY made it illegal/immoral.

The reason why it was okay for public areas but private business to have such active discriminatory policies was because of GOVERNMENT having discriminatory policies. So people who were racists and people who just grew up in that culture just continued doing what they knew to be right. PPL follow their leaders, had Government done away with slavery sooner and had not applied discriminatory policies racists would have not taken advantage and the culture would have modified their behavior sooner.

In places around the country where the local government did not have discriminatory policies, Blacks were very free to pursue their happiness and the government only got involved when a racist/hater tried to take those rights away from the person or committed a serious crime against the person. That is how it should be.

If I have a club where only Black Hispanic Women are welcomed is this wrong? There are so many clubs like that where business and social things are being discussed. I certainly dont see it as a discrimination against those who aren't Black Hispanic nor female. If there is a club for only white old men then what is wrong with that? and exactly why do I want to force them to accept me?

          • Interesting. From 1a.- If discrimination was legal and tolerated, how can you call your co-workers in to account where they choose to eat? It's legal, how can the company get on your co-workers for not breaking any laws during their lunch break? What basis do you have the right to bring this to the attention of the HR department? If discrimination is not illegal and is tolerated behavior?

          • As a PRIVATE business the PRIVATE institution is free to choose its OWN culture. We don't need the government to make racism illegal***. I don't need to appeal to the government to help me deal with this situation. The relationship between myself and my co-workers is private and should be handled privately (without government intervention). We are not children.

If my co-workers have no problem with racial discrimination or else they did not stand by me when I was discriminated against, that tells me that they are racist or perhaps they just simply don't like me. This makes for a very difficult working experience. I cannot trust them. So I have the right as a worker to ask the company to review this situation on behalf of the working environment not necessarily my personal life. I can just go home and not talk nor deal with these people outside of work, but in the work if I have to deal with them on a day to day basis and I feel there is hostility I have the right to speak up.

If the culture of the company is that racial discrimination is not tolerated, then they need to know where these people stand. Not that their believes should be governed OUTSIDE the office, just that in the job they need to display professional behavior that does not show discrimination which would make the work environment hostile. I could work really well with a racist if the racist keeps everything equal on how I am treated and how he or she treats others in the same situation as me. I don't get less nor more work, I don't stay longer or shorter, I don't have more "personality" issues in his or her estimation than any other worker, etc., etc.

However obviously if I believe that my job performance, commendations, honors, bonuses, etc. are being mishandled and I believe it is this sentiment from these people/this person I have the right to bring that up. Bringing it up as soon as possible can safeguard me from these issues ever being a problem.

However if the culture of the company does tolerate racial discrimination, well it is very possible I would have never been hired or else I would have never applied to begin with, but lets say that is it not new and that is so under new management. I need to get my beautiful Black ass out of there as soon as possible.

No... I don't sue, because like I said, the PRIVATE business has the right to have the culture it wants. If anything I can leave and become a rival company with the culture that I WANT or that I think will create more profit for me and my investors and corner the market that they are devaluing by their discriminatory practices. Capitalism wins.

If it was a truly PUBLIC and a governmental entity or else a semi private entity that takes in GREAT and consequential number of Public or Governmental contracts and works then yes I would sue as a company that in some way or another represents the government their culture should not be discriminatory.

            Sorry for the long posts.

***Racism is a state of mind first and foremost and therefore it is protected under the Constitution. Discriminating is first a foremost a state of the mind and therefore protected under the Constitution. Cannot/Should not make it illegal. Saying something racist or something discriminatory or even something PERCEIVED (perhaps even wrongly) by someone else as racist or discriminatory is speech which is protected by the Constitution. What is NOT protected by the Constitution is a racist or someone with discriminatory practices actively and physically getting in front of a person and their rights. That is murdering someone for whatever reason (depriving them of life), stealing their property, destroying their property, inflicting serious mental and/or physical pain by continued stalking and criminal behavior. ETC.

The Government cannot make THOUGHT nor SPEECH illegal it is unconstitutional no matter how bad or heinous the thought or speech is. Participating, instigating, starting, ending, etc in criminal behavior is already illegal and the Goverment doesn't need to create even more laws in order to make a group of people more equal than others (create a special class of people). That creates inequality and heck of a lot of problems as we now see.

It sounds weird perhaps coming from me, but the way the Civil Rights situation played out, I can see now that it was a Trojan Horse and part of the Progressive Agenda. Progressives are nothing but patient. Now a person who believes that marriage should be within a man and a woman are being told they HAVE to serve people who want them to participate in their activities. No one should be forced to participate in an activity they disagree with. However the CR movement opened that door. The CR movement was the government's way to rectify its own mess but put the blame on private citizens. That was grotesque and I am still at a lost how US people let that happen.

Even though I can understand wanting to be served equally in a private restaurant or a whatever, FORCING people to do so is always a bad thing that leads to nothing good. This is especially disgusting to me considering that it was the GOVERNMENT that was the real problem not individual citizens. The GOVERNMENT cannot be racist nor discriminatory for it represents all people.

          • Got it. I see where you're coming from now and you make some good points. I grew up in foreign countries and was on the receiving end of a lot of hatred and racism so I had trouble wrapping my mind around some of your initial two posts. Reading all three of them together, I understand and agree with most of what you wrote. Some of it we will just have to call a draw and not lose any sleep over it! Cheers Miss K :)

          • I am also an immigrant and racism and discrimination run rampart as I grew up. It is part of life. Our protection from being insulted or feeling bad should not come from the government it should come from our communities, our churches our neighbors and friends where people/parents/grandparents teach the next generation how to better deal and co-exist with people. When people fail to do that, the rest of us have to get a thick skin.

If however the racism extends to actual lost of rights, then yes the government should be there to protect your rights as that is their point. If you allow government to control ALL aspects of your life then you are essentially given it the opportunity to control you and you become its slave.

That is perhaps one of the reasons why Jesus and His Apostles liked to state that issues and problems needs to be resolved among people first and foremost then elders in churches and communities. If going to the government for everything is the norm, people loose their rights and we see that happening every day all around the world.

          • Our protection from being insulted or feeling bad should not come from the government it should come from our communities, our churches our neighbors and friends where people/parents/grandparents teach the next generation how to better deal and co-exist with people.

That's because the government handling this will only make you feel like you are incapable of doing anything for yourself.

  • Right... so why did the government went after private citizens who do have the right to discriminate?

The Problem here was and always will be the government. The government should have NEVER been in the business of discrimination of anyone and in fact the government should have never been in the business of marriage, health, private businesses and other personal and private issues and contracts.

You see I see the ENTIRETY of the Progressive agenda now.

Get the government to enslave people, then when they are set free get the government to discriminate, when ppl are tired of that sh*t, get the government to blame private citizens for the discrimination, FORCE them to accept everyone "equally" through legislation and open the door for classes of people where some ppl are more equal than others.

Then use two opposite kinds of people to fight for more equality than others to further push out those unwanted or less equal in the meantime grab as much power and influence and resources as possible, call everyone you don't like names, subvert and use the media and hold on to power for as long as possible while controlling the lives, health, birth (or not) and death of the lesser equal people.

We have been warned, we have seen this happen... we still don't learn our lesson.
