Michigan man claims he told the FBI where Bin Laden was in 2003. Eight years later SEALs finally raided the compound and now he wants the $25 million reward. Give him credit: anyone willing to announce to the whole world that he fingered Bin Laden is one gutsy dude.

I don't see any reason not to believe him.
"U.S. officials have said the house wasn't built until 2005,"
Good trick. Of course the issue of 25 big ones has NOTHING to do with it.
Careful ;) just as an intellectual exercise this is intriguing, it does have the slight ring of truth to it.
Are said officials blowing smoke? From one of the articles I read last night when I first saw this
"Also, several published reports have suggested that bin Laden’s compound may not have even been constructed until 2005." Published guesstimate, or eyeball fact? (Maybe the 3rd floor addition was built then, after they hunkered down?)
My problem with the whole thing is I could see it happening, the whole cya of missed opportunities amid the ocean of 'data' they have to sift. Remember the 9/11 guy who didn't care about taking off, just wanted to learn to steer a jumbo at the flight school?
It should be easy Psycho, there either is or isn't a record of his letter and the field notes from his contact with an FBI agent. One of the sides is lying.
I'll concede that much, I suppose, but then, as you say, you also have to wonder how many "guaranteed authentic I've seen him myself personally" tips were coming in during that time.
(Then of course you have the many dozens of authentic genuine witnesses who will swear he died in Tora Bora in 2002 or 3 or whenever.)
Hell, for 25 mil I would claim I led them to the compound personally.
Oh wait, Obummer beat me to that lie also.
