• This shit drives me nuts. Minimum wage jobs were never intended to be for a person trying to support a family. They were SUPPOSED to be for teenagers entering the job market. Why the hell aren't these idiots pissed off at Pres. Shovel Ready for creating an economy where the only jobs available for someone trying to support a family are minimum wage?

  • Well, if you're getting paid more, they DO take out more from your check for unemployment, and the benefits go up when it's time for you to collect. So you get paid more than you're worth for doing your job, then you get paid more when you get laid off. Win-Win, right?

    • Except in Florida, they don't take unemployment from your paycheck, but then, the max unemployment in Florida is $275 a week.
