The lefties have the deflect blame machine in full swing already. I can't wait to find out this pissant was a violent member of OWS. Proves my point that we don't need to ban guns, we just need to ban liberals from buying them.
I would add, ban liberals from stealing guns as well...
Or just ban liberals.
It was a matter of time before they went from sh*ting to shooting. A gun with no bullets is a pipe, let's outlaw pipe
Christ!!! I Hope he is Occupy. This would be the nail to the democrats bottom.
If it's true?
This would paint to the general public that the democrats are violent which is a fact.
It would be the nail if it ever got put out by the collaborationist media.
I'm afraid most people are just going to watch the blurbs on Channel 7 (or whatever) as they switch between Jersey Shore and Toddlers & Tiaras and never notice or care.
And therein lies the problem.
What the hell, let's just use their tactics against them and CALL it true.
Shout it from the roof tops, spread it all over the blogesphere, slam the airwaves with it....and if it IS false, offer an insincere apology, in VERY fine print on the 3rd page.
BIG SHOCKER!!
False reports surface that Colorado shooter was part of Occupy; Truth exposed
False reports are surfacing that James Holmes, the young man who killed 12 people at the midnight showing of the new batman movie “The Dark Knight Rises” last night in Aurora, CO, was part of the Occupy San Diego Black Block movement. OSD members have immediately spoken out on Facebook and Twitter about the falseness of such claims – from OSD even having a Black Block group, to ever seeing John Holmes at their camp or any of their meetings. Upon further investigation it has become clear that those claiming James Holmes is part of the Occupy movement do not have any proof or facts to back this up and are simply working on false assumptions.
Further de-confirming the claim that Holmes was part of the Occupy Black Block movement in San Diego, an unnamed member of OSD has said today there is “no organized Black Block contingent known to OSD.” Furthermore this person reminds us that “Black Block is a tactic, not a group.”

The article goes on to keep saying how he never was an Occupooper, they don't know who he is, and Black Block doesn't exist!
As Bill Klintoon said:
"Deny, Deny, Deny"
Sure, deny. Just like the OWS in Cleveland denied the guys planting bombs on a bridge were not of their clan, even thought one of the bombers signed the lease the building they were meeting in. Lie spoiled children these ones.
"I wasn't there, I didn't do it, you can't prove anything."
Bart Simpson.
Oh, come now IHTM. Next you'll be telling us the occupy people are pooping on police cars, practice poor hygiene, and really do expect those of us who work hard for a living to support their lazy worthless asses. Oh, wait..........
ABC ran out a possible Tea Party connection basically without confirmation. Look for this information to be checked and double-checked and triple-checked and quadruple-checked and then buried if true. I'm sure Fox will find out if it's true.

Just keep watching the UK news sites. If it is true, THEY will report it (along with more information than we want and 15 beautiful pictures). It's absolutely shameful that in the US we can't get anything but regurgitated pap from one of two national news sources - both of which are carrying a huge leftist agenda.
"(along with more information than we want and 15 beautiful pictures)"
Nice, I snorked my tea on that one.
The mainline media proggie reporters will continue to try to scoop the other guys with whatever they can, true or not. It gets out and it doesn't matter if they're wrong. That gushing lady brian ross has always been a rabid lefty. She gets so wound up when she feels like she is about to strike the hammer that she purses her lips and squirms around on her tush, probably leaves a damp spot on the chair. They lie all the time about the conservative movements and organizations and they do it with impunity. Remember the recent apologies from these halo holders? There have been a few this past year. Politicians may be mixed into my numbers here, but what's the difference? No apology from the left is ever sincere. They never admit having been wrong. They're only sorry about having to apologize.
I rarely comment without trying to be sarcastic or funny, but I will on this occasion.
I think there is a strong possibility this guy is mentally ill. The adult onset of schizophrenia often occurs in this age range. It is clearly too early to tell, not much facts rolling around about him other than a sketchy description of his personality, his internet use, and his intelligence. Think Jared Loughner and Cho Seung Hui.
It doesn't make the tragedy any better, but it was a clue when the mother reportedly said "you got the right guy". If he is mentally ill, people knew.
More evidence this "joker" does not have a full deck. See:

I can't say you can make anything out of his hair color, but I watched this live and he's either really whacked-out, or he's very good at playing whacked-out. I'm not certain at this point.
Or he is mighty medicated to ensure he won't flip out in court.
It looks to me as if some one slipped him a sleeping pill or "something" that has drowsiness as a side effect.
Just caught a couple seconds of video, but reminded me of OJ's very first court appearance.
People knew - almost certainly. But there is little that people can do for an adult with mental illness if that adult is unaware, or refuses help. Parents watch helplessly as their children get progressively worse and their hands are tied. Our government, in an effort to be kind, was exceedingly cruel when they passed laws in the 1970's giving people "civil rights" to be freed from involuntary institutional care. Don't get me wrong - there were certainly overreaching cases back then - but as per normal, the government, rather than trying to fix the problems - just threw the whole system out.
That patient dump started the homeless problem that we have seen ever since. Because some people are simply incapable of caring for themselves they end up on the streets, self medicating with street drugs, and getting more and more ill as time goes by. When you factor in the anger that the patient feels, frustrated by their own life and frustrations, you often see the violence. Ironically, it's only after the violence that these poor people can get help, and of course, by then, it is usually too late. We will fix him up just before we slam the door behind him forever.
It's a sad, sick cycle and as I said before, it's cruel. Not compassionate at all.
That patient dump started the homeless problem that we have seen ever since.
OH NO Karmaa, you're wrong!
Those people are just unfortunate, unemployed, citizens. They deserve free everything until they can get back on their feet!
Just because they refuse help doesn't mean that they don't want it, they're just fiercely independent, and are looking for jobs every day!
My bad!
But seriously, I have a lot of compassion for the mentally ill people who have no place to go and no means to care for themselves. Giving them a check and saying "have a nice day" is pointless. Cash can't solve their problems when they have no mental resources to help themselves.
This shooter would have been out of his apartment soon (it was school housing and he was dropping out), and chances are great that his family did not want him back because he was too scary. He clearly had money to spend from some source, and he spent it on guns, ammo, and protective gear. That's what lots of mentally ill people do, although it is more often spent on alcohol and drugs, but the point is that they don't use the money on helping themselves.
The part that really makes me mad though is that the people who have CAUSED this mess have glorified themselves as "the compassionate", and no one ever looks deeper to see how their compassion has ruined the lives of the people they "helped'.
Having worked with the mentaly ill, I agree 200%. THese people are either homeless as you described, or they are on a roller coaster of involuntary committment, meds to get them "straight" then released back on the streets where they quit taking their meds (bi polars don't like the "downing" effect of their meds and schizophrenics are PARANOID, remember? They may thing the pills are poison. THey hear voices telling them not to take the meds, to hurt themselves, to hurt others, that the sun is purple, things you would never imagine! And the "hel;pers may loook like lizard people from outerspace!) In some cases. long term or even permanent institutiona care. Instead of correcting the mistreatment that many recieved, they dumped them on the street. Out of the frying pan and into the fire!
I get that the guy is considered mentally ill but I truly hope the prosecutors ignore the cries of an insanity plea. This person planned his massacre right down to the elaborate rigging of his apartment to kill as many cops as possible. How about we label him evil and a coward. Mentally ill? I'm not convinced.
Insanity as a medical diagnosis and insanity as a legal defense are two very different things. He clearly knew what he was doing, did not have a sudden break with reality and knew the difference between right and wrong. An insanity plea will never fly.
You are a tad confused. Insanity is 100% a legal term, it is not used nor should it be in the clinical diagnosis or treatment of mental illness. Schizophrenia does not mean "stupid" nor does it mean inability to plan and execute. And yes, schizophrenia does come on precipitously, but his first break from reality may have occurred a few months ago, around the time he was compelled to feed his paranoia by planning this murderous scheme. I do not know what diagnosis (if any) he has, but as I stated earlier, everything is consistent with paranoid schizophrenia that has been made public. Better to wait until some experts get a chance to evaluate him. In the meantime, review Jared Loughner (Arizona) and Seung-Hui Cho (West VA-Tech), both classic case-study examples I use in Forensic Psychology to illustrate my point. This fellow may be added if he fits the criterion.
I know the term insanity is not a medical term. Just trying to keep it simple. I am an old RN with a fair amount of experience in mental health, so I stand by my statement that the 2 are very different. I certainly don't think he is stupid with an IQ of some 187 as tested my mensa at age 9. Even if he has dropped a bit with age, that would still put him in what, the top 5% of the population?
Most schizophrenics are not violent as well. So this guy, if schizophrenic, is an outlier among that category as well. The package sent to the shrink sure is consistent with the diagnosis.
We've had a schizophrenic homeless guy around my business for about 20 years or more. He has conversations with non-existent people and can be scary looking. But the reality is he's really a nice person. He's managed to survive this long on the streets, so he's not stupid and he's very tough.
I have bought him clothes, warm coats, sleeping bags, tents, when I see him I give him some money for food, beer or whatever he ends up spending it on.
One thing I note about this guy is he's polite and even if he's homeless and dirty, he has class. You give him something he always makes a point to say thank you.
One of the guys that works for me is schizophrenic, he's a good worker and willing to learn anything you want to teach him. As long as he keeps taking his meds, he's just fine.
And therein lies the rub. MOST schizophrenics as well as bi polars and Major depressives are functional with thei rmed. THey look and act lole everyone else, they are like a diabetic or someone with high blood pressure. They are treating their chronic disease condition. Its the ones whose disease is so severe they have problems remaining on their mdication that are the issue. They are LITERALLY rarely responsible for their actions.
