A federal court ruled that Live Oak has the right to restrict a student’s free speech when it is likely to cause a substantial disruption. Yeah kids, next time try burning the shirts instead of wearing them. Or better yet come to school with a crucifix suspended in a jar of urine. Your freedom of speech rights are sure to be protected then.

In fair San Antonio, Texas, we lovinglyrefer to ourselves as "little Mexico" or even Northern Mexico. There are at least as many Mexican flags, t-shirts about Aztlan or Zapata or La Raza, Spanish billboards, Mexican groceries,etc than American. And the further south you go into the Valley, the worse it gets until you get to the border, where entire towns are run in Spanish. AMERICAN towns, where all legal paperwork, newpapers, etc are in Spanish. The Mexicans won't have to take us back. We are giving ourselves away.
We have the same signs and literature here in Arizona. I call my backyard The Tiajuana Turf Club. And in the south part of town you see all the mexican loud ass colored painted buildings and everything is written or read in spanish. It's also littered and is very nasty there. Junk cars everywhere etc.
Don't forget the low riders and the tejano music!
Then there's the little town I worked in earlier this year, just south of where I live. The signs say Chula Vista, but it's better known as ChulaJuana.

Communism at it's best. Wanna bet a muslim could freely wear a shirt stating Allah Akbar all day long and probably would get compliments from the school staff. Of course this is Kalifornia where each week a new rule pops up. If they wore a shirt saying they were a member in the browneye bandit club, the teachers would probably make a personal donation and it wouldn't be monetary either.
I am a second year law student and the legal test they applied is the correct one, and is Supreme Court precedent. However, I disagree with the fact that it will create a substantial disruption, but unfortunately, this decision was inevitable.
I think that a school does have to decide what is disruptive and what is not. The fact that this is disruptive means that their discipline and control over their students is so far gone that the entire school is a failure. How can you teach in an environment where students who show patriotism are the anomaly? My guess is they also have a less than 50% graduation rate. Incompetence is as incompetence does.
To be perfectly honest, there is no way I'd send my kid to a cesspool like that.
Maybe if everyone got together and caused a "disruption" when the Muslim kid wore something Islamic, then they would have to ban that item as being "disruptive." Problem is, the kids wearing American flags usually are well behaved.

Yes, Cali is a joke of a state when it comes to fiscal policies, social policies, Hollywood, school systems, sanctuary cities, crime, home prices, gas prices and traffic. Maybe the weather is nice, but almost everything else about California sucks. The weather does'nt out weigh the other crap.
