• This annoys me on so many levels. 1) When I go to a Starbucks, it is to get a good, hot cup of coffee--not because I want to "enter into a conversation" about ANYTHING with the person I AM PAYING to get me my coffee. 2) If I wanted to work at Starbucks as an employee--I'm looking for a job where I can gain some marketable skills (and I consider barista skills marketable skills), not because I want to "enter into conversations" with unknown individuals about hot topics.

  Just wait until the first low-level Starbucks employee says something stupid, or something that offends someone, and either the fights or the lawsuits break out. It's a dumb, dumb move by Starbucks with about as much value as #BringBackOurGirls.

• And there's a big part of the problem right there: "black language."

  They make themselves a separate culture and then wonder why they're "left out."

• It frustrates me to no end when I watch the media totally and purposefully miss the point. For Pete's sake, it is NOT correlation equals causation. Young black men do not commit the vast majority of violent crimes or produce the greatest number of children as a percentage born out of wedlock because they are black. They do those things because they and their predecessors have allowed themselves to be corralled onto the progressive plantation where drugs, fatherlessness, gangs, and the breakdown of the family are allowed to flourish. Most black figures in media are too afraid to speak honestly about the socio-economic position they have watched "their people" live in rather they blame institutional racism and repression for the "race problem".

  It is an industry and a shakedown scam - the Al Sharpton/Jesse Jackson MO.

  So if we are going to have an honest discussion about race we need to study root causes of why one demographic in particular continues to fail in greater numbers than any other. Over the past 50 years they have only the progressive social policies and each other to blame. No one else is keeping anyone down. If I'm wrong, show me.

  Last thought: white privilege is a concept developed by white liberal academics not to foster white guilt but to increase the sense of hopelessness among minorities (blacks especially) so as to further disincentivize them to want to improve their lives. It communicates a why bother life isn't fair attitude. That is some very cynical stuff but I believe it to be true.
