The other problem with Egypt going hardcore Muslim is that they have been sending their military people here to the US for training at our military bases for decades!
When I was in the Air Force I was in school for electronics. The particular school I went to had the highest failure rate of any school in the military and there were Egyptian officers in the same school with us! We were teaching them all the high tech stuff we knew! Who knows what they have done with this info over the years, plus, didn't we sell them lots of our aircraft, etc?
