• These douche-nozzles know that if "Dear Leader" loses, their incomes are likely going to take a hit. So screw the people freezing and starving, lets have a party to boost "Dear Leader's" morale.

• People suffering after a storm and bitching about the poor government response is not very flattering to the O administration. Why, even if NBC reported otherwise, people might blame this on Obama, and he might lose votes!! Since NBC is indistinguishable from official parts of the Obama campaign, I can see them readily deciding the masses need more happy stories to distract from the bad news. That the Staten Islanders could use their generators and such is immaterial. O's re-election is the paramount issue.

  That seems to be a common trait of arrogant, egotistical morons everywhere. Go figure.

  • BOA, you have to understand the celebrity mind.
    It makes more sense for them to give an hour of their time, in order to get the "regular" people to open their wallets, than to write a check themselves.
    If each of these celebs would sign over just one paycheck each, they would have raised more money than this "ass kissers ball" would have, and the generators and food that were used at this gala, could have been sent to the people with no power, and that are sifting through dumpsters for food. But then, they wouldn't have been on TV telling us how much they care.
