I would have said I misspoke, I meant to call that deceased goat lapper a Muslim Terrorist.

Uhm... perhaps he could have said scum without the Muslim... because the Muslim can be misunderstood as he hating all Muslims. If he was Black, for example, and said "White scum" that would be outrageous. The word white would be unnecessary for him to say (as a public official). So on that basis, I can understand why he needed to walk back half of that. However, he shouldn't apologize for calling him scum. He could have said: "I did not mean Muslim in a general pejorative manner nor does my use of the word Muslim indicate any hatred against all Muslims, but the bastard was scum and he used his religion as a base and excuse to execute people. (As he added: All Muslims should be outraged by his behavior, etc). I am not apologizing for calling him scum, for that is what he was."
Now his apology in the article that I read anyway seems adequate enough but missing something. He basically just stated that his statement was emotional and not based on hatred on all Muslims, but he didn't walk back the scum portion of his statement, although of course he didn't reiterate it which I think he should have.

True. He did admit emotion was at the base of the statement. I did like thought that he challenged Muslims to say something about this, which they never do.

So he told the truth and got called on it by the invading Mooselimb Horde? They are scum. And they should leave and move back to the country they came from. They say far Worse about us in our own country. I for one, am sick and tired of not being able to call a terrorist a terrorist.
He spelled "donkey f**ker" wrong. It's not spelled s-c-u-m that's why he was called out.
