Shocking new video of Barack Obama has emerged. This was captured mere moments after Dear Leader signed the “Detain all Americans!” legislation into law.

  • This chain of comments is certainly one of the better I have seen. Concerned, lucid people making valid points. Kudos to all.

    One problem we have had in the USA for a l-o-n-g time is the Two Party system. The Founders warned us about that. Now, we have been duped into thinking there is a significant difference between the Republicans and Democrats. So far in our history, all other Party's have had the effect of diluting one demonic Party or the other. As current political events have illustrated, our Two Party's are in collusion with each other and the "Powers That Be" who are the puppet masters.

    If you want to know who really controls our government, it is easy. Just follow the Money Trail. In Washington, DC nothing else matters anymore; just money. How many quite wealthy Members of Congress are there? How many become rich on $174,000 a year? How do they pull that off? Until "We The People" retake control of this country we are doomed. History has proven this over and over and over. Nero fiddled while Rome burned...

    • The way I've looked at it for many decades is this. For the last few hundred years, everything that has been done to the detriment of this country has been done by either a Democrat or a Republican. That's why I became a Libertarian. Call me wacky, but I stand by the Constitution.

  • My thinking is that there are enough upper echelon officers in the military who have the brains to see through all this, that it will never come to the military detaining anyone.

  • Since American military and Tea Party members seem to be first in line for arrest... I am waiting for the tanks to roll up my drive-way.

    • If this actually goes in effect (In reality as opposed to on paper) I fully expect the American Military to be divided. I don't think all of them will just willingly shoot fellow Americans.

      Don't get me wrong - many will. but not all.

      I've said since Obama was elected the first time - if he is elected again expect a civil war. God I pray that won't happen though.

      • Most of the Marines I talked to when I lived near 29 Palms said the same thing. If an officer were to order them to fire on law-abiding American citizens, the officer would be in danger of his life. I hope it's true.

        • That's not how they'd do it, though. The German WWII army
          s primary use was not to shoot civilians -- they had their psycho brigades, the SS and the Gestapo do that.

          • Exactly. The first military to be "downsized" will be the ones who WOULDN'T shoot civilians just because.

  • I see a National Guard chair has been added to the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Obama really wants us to believe he won't use the recently-signed act to detain Americans? Ha! I'd wager that our government is positioning itself to round up bitter clingers.

      • Remember when this scene was being used to talk about Bush? I'd say Obama resembles Palpatine more, but Obama isn't near as sneaky and two sided as Palpatine. Everything Obama has done has been pretty obvious from the get go.

          I can't emphasis enough that both political parties are responsible for the erosion of our freedoms. It applies, I think, to not only the politician giving the speech but the people applauding. I can't defend the Patriot Act, nor can I defend the NDAA or his unconstitutional "recess" appointments.

          I just hope people learn that someone with an (R) after their name does not mean they automatically care about the constitution and hence care about defending it.

          • Oh I know much of what Obama is doing now was put into place in the Bush administration. R doesn't mean conservative - but I don't know any Ds that are really conservative either. We need to do what we can to minimize the Ds right now and plan for a future R president - even if he is the same as Bill Clinton. I don't think Bush hated america though - I do think Obama does. I'd rather take old time politics over an undermining of everything that we stand for.

          • The POTUS gets all the press coverage and blame, but Congress authors the laws and votes to pass them. Frankly, I think we need to flush the toilet. There are too many professional politicians clogging the drain in the Washington, DC commode.

          • True - but the people that have been going against what the POTUS and what half of congress want to do are mainly the people elected in 2010 that were tea party candidates.

          • Correct. Your reply illustrates what I meant. Our "Good Old Boys" cheat, lie, and steal to stay in Congress. Even if they are female. Personally, I do not trust that our election process is not bogus.

          • I don't think the Democrat party has any good ideas or can possibly make this country prosperous again. I also agree that Bush did not hate America (although I'd say he was really misguided) and I would agree that Obama does hate America(at least he hates a non-Marxist America).

I think the tea party happened because enough good-hearted people are disgusted with left leaning Republicans and liberalism in general. "Old time politics" means that I should not only allow someone with an (R) after their name to erode my freedom and Constitutional rights, but I should support them. I was a Republican from the womb I think, I became a Conservative when I started listening to Limbaugh in college(instead of smoking weed), now I'm just disappointed. Disappointed that everyone is on this "better than Obama" bandwagon. My party is the Constitution. It used to be the Republican and the Conservative party I think, but I don't know anymore.

          • Well Sorry - sometimes we have to deal with what we are given then what we hope for. It's not my fault none of the GOP people are perfect - but you know what? I'd rather have any one of them in office than Obama. What would you rather have me do - not vote? I'm all for the tea party and am glad we got so many people in Congress in 2010. But what we need now is a decent president and a congress that will actively attack the president when he does stupid stuff like Obama is doing. Sorry there isn't a perfect tea party candidate - that's life. We need to play the hand we have instead of spending our time worrying about what could be. The tea party has had a tremendous impact on our nation and will continue to have it, but right now *at this moment in time* we need Obama out more than we need a perfect President. Feel free to disagree with me - but I also feel that the Congress needs to step up and do their jobs instead of letting the President run all over them.

            I am an independent conservative and have been since the Bush era. We need to not go the fairy tale dreams and unicorn route of Liberals. Let's deal with what we have now and then start forcing the president (whoever he may be) to come to terms with a Tea party backed Congress.

            I know where you're coming from. I agree with much of what you said, in theory. However, you say "let's deal with what we have now" but now I see Obama light in all our candidates. Honestly, if Romney lost the nomination and the next day he was announced as Obama's Vice President, I would tell you I saw that coming.

            Our options are pathetic, our situation is dire, and our freedoms may be lost forever if we continue believing our best option is anyone but Obama.

            I realize it seems we need to stop Obama. Yet over the last 3 year, because we have lost a LOT of freedoms, I see Americans as more active, informed, and involved as ever. I don't think a weak(all of them), big government(Santorum), left wing(Romney) Republican is the answer. Honestly, I think it would make to many Americans complacent.

            Four more years under the soft tyranny Obama would be terrible. However, I think four more years of Obama is recoverable. We are losing freedoms, despite the tea party congress, at an alarming rate. But people are learning, waking up, rediscovering American values. I think some 2 bit Republican that we nominate to beat Obama(politics as usual), then we have to vote for again in 2016(politics as usual), even though the budget is not balanced(politics as usual) and all of Obama's policies are still in place(politics as usual) is far worse for our country.

            Say if Romney or Santorum win now, and it's "politics as usual" than we are stuck with them till 2020 or a Democrat in 2016. I don't know how the Constitution wins or how American values win.

          • Wow. That is a very interesting article. I thought it may afffect the outcome of the elction the same way Ross Perot affected the Bush-Clinton election, but this had not occurred to me. More research is needed for sure!

          • I don't think we can recover from four more years of Obama. I think if obama is elected again, a civil war will break out. I do think we can put things right with a strong congress, a good Judicial branch even if we have a political president. The thing about political presidents, as opposed to ideologues like Obama, is that they will go where the wind takes them. That can be used for our advantage. If we had a strong GOP canidate, I'd be behidn them. But we don't...and I am not voting for Obama.

          • I don't think that I will be touching them with a ten-foot pole anytime soon. Pretty scary when you realize who is behind it.

          • Even if Americans Elect doesn't make it this time around, Maybe it will send a message to the 2 parties that folks are fed up. And in 2-4 more years, who knows what they may be able to do? Another group "no Labels" is about Congress working, not playing partisan politics all the time. More an more of these groups are popping up in response to the gridlock the country is in. No one feels represented anymore.

          • I signed up with Americans Elect, but I don't hold out much hope for them getting anything to happen. The two parties have a pretty good stranglehold on life in this country.

          • There is a group called Americans elect that is trying to get a people backed candidate, no party affiliation. I feel the Republican party has done a very poor job of identifying and nurturing younger (in political life) candidates to develop some real alternatives. Seems a lot of people are voting for the least appalling candidate, rather than being motivated by a good candidate. A big part of how Obama got elected. Everyone looking for someone new and better.

          • I'm hoping that at least Santorum is the nominee. I won't have to hold my nose quite so hard then.

          • I do not think that any of the remaining presidents are what we need. I think that the states have to start asserting themselves. Neither party has any record of making smaller government -- and both put up the equivalent of Zaphod Beeblebrox to distract us while they erode our freedoms,

            I *will* vote for the R over the Obama -- but that is merely saying that I prefer the rate of disintegration to slow rather than accelerate. However, the true fix will not come from DC. It will come from motivated states working together.

          • I was looking forward to voting this time around without having to hold my nose, for the first time since Reagan. But then the Democrat political machine did it's usual dirty tricks, and Cain was taken out of the race. Now I'll be holding my nose.

          • I gave details too - I explained it above about how a political type can be used while an ideologue cannot. I don't think I can convince you - you have obviously made up your mind. I don't debate, I leave that up to other people.

            You and I obviously view things differently and instead of going back and forth I'll just end it now :) People can decide if they agree with you or me or think we both are nuts - thems the breaks, heh.

However, I would ask "Name the candidate we can believe in that will get the Bill of Rights back NOW or through 2020?" I can't.

            Warren I'm sorry, but we don't have a strong congress, and we will have a weaker one in 2013. I am not at the point of "civil war" I'm sorry if you are considering it. Honestly, if there was a IHTM poll asking who is more nuts, me or you, I would expect to win that poll, and I'm no where near "civil war."

            We are on the same page though. Neither of us is voting for Obama. For the record, I didn't vote for him the first time, even though my uncle asked me if that's because I was a racist.

            I explained my opinion on how a generic Republican is worse for the country than Obama. I gave details and scenarios. I ask the same in return. How is our country better off with a Massachusetts Liberal Republican or a Bush era "Conservative" in Santorum? Convince me. Take a day or two, I don't care, I'm always open for opinions.

          • Could not agree more with your post. The notion that you have to throw all the bums out may be overstated. The political ones, as you noted, will drift in the name of expediency. Clinton did after 1994. Get rid of Obama. That is job one. Tolerating him for four more years hoping we get the Bill of Rights back later is not a strategy.
