Once again nanny bloomberg is trying to tell someone what they should do. My question is this. Where are the NAGs on this issue? Here is an elected official telling a woman what she needs to be doing with her body. Why no out cry from them?
I wonder if bloomberg is regressing and needs time with a Freudian psychologist to work out his issues?

The NAG's constituency aborts babies, they don't feed them. My guess is that the leadership of the NAGs themselves hire help to deal with the mundane tasks of rearing their children.
They hire nursemaids. They can't be bothered to feed their children themselves.

I used to like to visit NYC, for some reason I no longer feel the same way.
Good lord, any woman who wants formula for her baby will be required to get a lecture from the commies running New York. I"ve never been to New York, but I despise the place from afar.

The few times I've been back there I've flown into White Plains or Newark. (Yes I'd rather fly into Newark than go to NYC). I've never been to NYC and don't intend to go.
And yet, a mother gets kicked out of public places in NYC for doing exactly that, breast feeding. All because someone thinks it's indecent.
People get kicked out of restaurants, movies, coffee houses, all sorts of places for breast feeding. It still happens, and it astounds me every time. Without question, Breastmilk (assuming a healthy mom and baby) is THE best food forbabies. It was designed for feeding babies, and has all kinds of stuff that they are just now figguring out have to be added to formula. It is easy, convenient, sterile, and the only cost is about 200 calories of food extra for mom. It also helps the Mom's ody to recover from the pregnancy and return to its pre prenancy state. Having said that, there are a few cases, particulalry metabolic issues where either the Mom or the aby cannot do breast milk. Formula will meet the1 22child's nutritional needs, and they are trying ever harder to make sure formula contains all the little expras available in breastmilk. Breast feeding Moms should get lots ofsupport and teaching, to make the whole experience smoother. Especially a first time mom doesn't know what she is doing, and the babies don't either, MOST women can breastfeed if they are educated in the techniques, and patinet with themselves and their babies. But when women are thrown out of public places for breastfeeding, or a Pediatrician tells her her baby isgrowing too fast, or too slow, or if employers make itimpossible topump milk at work, breast feeding becomes nearly impossible.

I agree. But every so often you hear stories of women being asked to nurse their children in the BATHROOM or kicked off planes because ONE person complained when the blanket slipped exposing cleavage (not even a nipple). There is no argument that breast feeding is often healthier. However, it should be up to the mother, the baby, and the health and capabilities of both.
People that have a problem with breast feeding have a problem, it's perfectly natural and shouldn't be an issue.
You would think with all the problems that NYC has that mayor Bloomie would find more useful things to do with his time than this.
You would think he knows that if you make large sodas illegal people would just buy two smaller ones.

I think some of it is up to the child. My first son breast fed and never wanted a bottle. My second son breast fed until the first time he got a bottle and after that never wanted to breastfeed. Go figure.
Bottles are easier!

Thank you. Whether progressives believe it or not, nature cannot be legislated. It just so happens that sometimes women do not produce breast milk. I guess progressives think it is acceptable for an infant to starve than to receive nutrition from a near-exact replica known as formula.
Makes sense, considering that they also believe that prior to detachment of the umbilical, it's a "choice".
Yeah, I was one of those moms...thanks to a very rare genetic disorder, I only make "skim" milk...Poor boy about starved to death!
I am sorry to hear that. My wife also could not produce milk. It caused her very serious emotional distress. Motherhood is hard enough for a woman - to have some asshat politician wagging their finger at them is reprehensible.
Hopefully some dumb@$$ doctor didn't tell your wife to "prepare" herself "because your (newborn) son is going to die"
