• You have to look at the bigger picture when looking at this cartoon as ask you have to ask yourself this question: WHY? The answer is simple- the Catholic church is the biggest threat to the leftists and progressives of the world. Inane cartoons like this are meant to take the church's power away by any means it can. Unfortunately, they are winning.

• Yes, hisham, I believe that like the Shroud of Turin, the Our Lady of Guadalupe image is miraculous. There's no natural explanation for the material the tilma is composed of to last for more than 10 or 20 years.

• I saw the actual tilma of Our Lady of Guadalupe when I visited Mexico City in 1998. It's beautiful. The Virgin has her eyes cast down and she's pregnant. Her example of humility on the tilma could teach the strident, screeching, Pro-Abortion radical feminists so much if they would open their hearts. The leftists hate the concept of pure, modest, humble, saintly women.

  • Did you know that the year round constant temperature of the tilma is exactly 98.6 degrees farenheit and that the material it's made from usually only lasts a couple of decades before it rots apart, this particular tilma has been around, in pristine condition, for almost 600 years now. Can anyone say: "The Hand of God!"

• OK. *breathes* Not a Catholic. I don't believe that we should pray TO St. Mary. I don't believe she kept her virginity for the rest of her life. I don't believe that she was born without sin... and so on and so forth. Others believe all those things and that is fine by me, it is what it is. However, she IS a Saint, she IS the Mother of Christ my G-d and my Lord, she SHOULD be respected and admired for indeed she did sacrifice and she did have faith and therefore an example to all believers in Christ Jesus.

  If I was a psycho and I feel really believe that I need to destroy fools that do this, I would find these people and AK all of them down. Not a Catholic, still would do it. This is disgraceful, annoying, offensive and disgusting. Thankfully (for them and for my soul), the Lord Jesus Christ wouldn't necessarily be happy with me doing that for as G-d Himself says vengeance is His to do. I am to let it go and accept that there are lot of mockers out there and it will only get worst as the Lord Jesus is gearing up for His return (may it be soon please I beg). I also have a life that I intend to live and I don't have the time to find and gun people down, but I can seriously understand if anyone especially a Catholic brother and sister feels disgusted by this and perhaps a bit zealoty. Some people in my humble opinion ASK to be barred from Heaven. Some people are asking for coals of suffering upon their lives and even their eternal souls. I don't want to wish anyone ill especially if it is done out of ignorance and not necessarily out of hate of G-d. However, this is disgusting.

  Indeed if this was Momo or something they would have never done this or else if they had, we would have heard that people were killed and businesses destroyed because of this. Once again, true Christians we will accept the persecution, some of us may speak up but in Christ we will not be crazy and stupid and leave it in His most capable hands. He was a human being once, I am sure that He knows and understands as a human being and especially a Son (a Male), that Mothers are to be respected. You don't insult a Mother ESPECIALLY the Mother of a King that has the power to destroy you if He so choses here and in the next life. • I'll pray for the 'artist's' conversion, but this kind of flagrant insult regarding Jesus's Mother won't go down well with the Son of God. He better hope he doesn't die tomorrow, because when you insult the Boss's mother with shit like this, not only do you piss of the Muslims, who get pissed off at the drop of a hat, but you actually anger God. Yep, I meant what I said about Muslims being insulted when people insult Jesus and especially his mother. For some reason they consider Jesus 'one' of their profits and they seem to have a special affinity for his mother, The Virgin Mary, as the only perfect woman, even Eve doesn't compare to her! I don't think this 'artist' guy will enter through the Pearly Gates unless and until he humbly and reverently says a few million Mea Culpas! Just saying.

    This is a shame from the Our Lady of Guadalupe angle. I've been to Mexico City and seen the tilma. It is probably the most revered Holy site in Mexico. The drawing is clearly taken directly from image. Shame...
