  • Looking forward to the next Time magazine cover. I'd expect them to get on the bash-Obama bandwagon in order to boost their sales.

  • You know, if they flipped, and went Republican, they would probably fix their financial problems. Conservatives can actually READ!

  • With their penchant for covers mocking Palin and Bachmann, I'm surprised at this Newsweek cover. Their circulation has them in such deep trouble that I think they go for the provacative to sell magazines. Don't be surprised if they run a nasty Romney cover soon.

  • As highly unlikely as it sounds, maybe the Lame Stream Media is finally figuring out what we have all know for 4+ years. It's known as the true cause for most of our economic problems, the lying bag of camel dung known as "Dear Leader" to his adoring brain dead followers.
Someone at Newsweek will get a phone call from the White House, and someone else will get fired for this article.

  • I don't trust them - but it could be that they are starting to see which side their bread is buttered on. R&R are not going to play around with the media clowns, so the only way they will have any standing is if they start soon. Being all Rah! Rah! Republicans! after the fact is not going to cut it.

The past 4.5 years have been the most horrible in the history of modern media. I'm not sure what can/needs to be done, but I am sure that there are much smarter minds than mine figuring it out now.

    • I don't see any danger of the media becoming Rah Rah Republican. THey may grit their teeth and tolerate it, but there are too many libs in the media for true even moderate support.

      • I just posted elsewhere about the fact that most "journalists" are young, and probably never really paid a lot of attention to politics until Bush, and of course we know that they are poorly educated about US history. But they have their degrees from their liberal colleges, which gave them the talking points. Remember though, kids eventually grow up. The early twenty people start to get married, have investment income, have families, buy groceries, homes and gas.

It becomes a whole lot harder to be a bleeding heart liberal reciting party lines when you have to live in the real world. Once they are allowed to have honest discourse without fear of being labelled a racist, or whatever, they may start to soften up. The next group of young adults coming in are not likely to be as viciously liberal - since each generation tends to spin 180 from the previous. So that could be a double-whammy.

No, I don't see the media becoming staunch conservatives - Even Fox is really just grudgingly there because the money is there - but I really will not be surprised to see a slightly less rabid environment.

  • A breath of fresh air from Newsweek and couldn't even finish it. His style or me having a bad hair day, like nails on a chalkboard.
