She is back home. Probably was told to go back since she wasn't going to get any money. I hope they get the help they need. They are at fault for being very laxed with her at their own admission and put the reigns way too late. She is at fault for not getting her sh*t together if she really wanted to be independent.
Move back home abide by the rules, do what you got to do and take advantage of the opportunities your parents give you. Work hard , study hard and live well. That is all I got to say to her.
This entire thing was just unnecessary and sad.
She may be back home, but the drama continues. Now she has her attorney asking the court to appoint a guardian to protect her from her "abusive" parents. She has some backers, claimning we don't know how her parents treated her, and she claims a psychitrist and her school verify abuse ( I have no idea how, since CPS investigated and had nothing. Be interesting to her her story of what abuses she has suffered.) At any rate, she STILL doesn't get it. She doesn't need a guardian. She is an adult, with an ostensibly sound mind, so she can act for herself. If she is being abused, she can leave! If someone were abusing me, you couldn't keep me in that house, if it meant sleeping in a shelter or the backseat of someone's car. Please God, I am not generally a fan of corporal punishment, but somebody needs to knock her upside the head and return her to reality. You ain't in Wonderland, honey!
Everybody involved here ESPECIALLY that sweetheart are at fault. The parents for not being parents, the friend, the boyfriend and the stupid parent that financed this sham. There is SOMETHING in this WHOLE DRAMA that just doesn't make sense... there is SOMETHING else that we don't know... that is hidden.
I absolutely agree Kimmy! This whole thing is so fishy it stinks. BAsed on limited news coverage, I believe she left on her own, voluntarily because she is a teen and they do crap like that. But all the rest sounds like something else is involved and I don't think its parental abuse.
They should look into the guy financing the lawsuit. I think that is the key. A normal adult parent DOES NOT finance a lawsuit against another set of parents. Something is TERRIBLY wrong.

I worked in college. All 3 of my kids worked in college. We all attended 4 year universities, but I also attended a local community college. We all went to public school. If she wants a college education, she can earn her way. Maybe not to a pricey private university (who will likely graduate her with a worthless liberal arts degree) but she could certainly manage. And porn probably pays better, but is not the only job available!
She's 18. Guess what, she's an adult. So that means she's all on her own. Didn't want some simple rules to live by at her parents house, so be it.
She's already figured out the mooching system. She's living with the parents of a friend.

The little brat lost her case. This is what happens when children feel they are entitled to every damn thing they want without excepting some guidelines and rules. Now she's out in the big bad world and finding out that things are not so rosy. Maybe she could give classes to many of her classmates about the realities of life.
Read what her father said. He's a retired CoP and went the be friends route with her. Parenting is difficult and while the children are growing up its our responsiblity to be a patent, then as they get older you can become their friend once they've grown.

Ahh yes, Obama's America-one where authority that is not Obama, is scoffed at. This kid is a professional grifter at 18-conned her friend's dad into funding her frivolous law suit. A jury or a judge is going to give it to her, and give it to her good. She will loose, and there will be two dad's who she will have embarrassed. My parents would have laughed at me, and a judge in 1985 when I was about to graduate would have thrown this case out as it has no grounds-she's 18, and therefore of the age of majority-and no longer a burden to her parents, unless they so desired. This suit will be vacated before trial, with prejudice. It has zero legs. She chose to move out, thus ending her parents' liability to take care of her......I'm 18, I get confused every day....."
I don't know if you can embarrass the friend's father, he's a lawyer.
That is almost as low life a profession as being a journalist.
