Now that he’s nothing but a joke in his own country

Now that he’s nothing but a joke in his own country… Al Gore is taking his act on the road by saving Australia from Global Warming. Good luck with that, mates! You’re welcome! (Caution: if you’re a masseuse named Barbara, watch yourself. We’re not sure the Goracle completely understands the whole “shrimp on the barbie” expression.)

  • Every time I see that guy I shudder to think how close we came to living under a Gore administration with all the pseudoscience claptrap it would have brought with it.

  • WE can only hope that the Goracle disappears in the outback, never to be seen again.....Perhaps eaten by Aborigines during some kind of fertility human sacrifice........

    • Once it's discovered that he's not actually human, aboriginal society will forever be wrecked- the remaining members will become industrialized, drive around in huge SUVs that get 5 mpg, use 650 watt incandescent bulbs, wear cowboy hats, and build a mechanized society whose grid operates exclusively on bituminous coal.

  • Considering the Aussies just voted out their GW nuts, I'm sure they'll welcome him with open arms.... Carrying tar and feathers.

  • No better or worse place to let you all know about a right wing media matters type site.

It's a good one if you like seeing how the other side operates and how our side finally calls it out. In other words sh!t's getting real as Big Fur Hat said on iowntheworld.com where he mentioned the site.

  • Once again, Senor Gore pretends to forget that his family made millions over the years raising tobacco.

      • Yeah, I remember when the Clinton administration stopped all offshore drilling off the west coast, then allowed one exception for Occidental, the company where the Gore family was heavily invested. Al has always been an environmentalist of convenience - when it doesn't hurt his wallet he's an environmentalist.

  • Tim Blair puts Al Gore, the big hypocrite, in his place in “Oil and Smoke”.

We have always had bushfires in Australia—and many native shrubs and trees, for instance, have evolved to need fires to make their seeds to germinate—but the Australian Greens, and other misanthropist, misanthracist enviro-loonies too often refuse to allow burn-offs and backburns which can prevent inevitable fires from becoming catastrophic.
Meanwhile, Blair notes, NBC seems to believe that all of Australia is ablaze.

    • Not clearing the land caused a huge fire up at Lake Tahoe while I was living in Reno. Tragic as the loss of homes was, there was a bit of poetic justice involved. The liberal loonies who refused to clear the land around their homes - to keep the environment "natural" - saw those homes burnt to a crisp thanks to the extra fuel leading the fire directly to the houses, whereas practical non-loonie people who thwarted environmental regulations by clearing the brush away from their homes tended to come through unscathed.

      • To sum up, the green movement is largely comprised of complete and utter idiots and led by thieves. It's been said here before but it always bears repeating.

    • It's the American propoganda machine at work, trying to make Australia look like an unstoppable inferno. They are more than happy to enable Gore in his quest to return us to the ice age that was responsible for killing off the dinosaurs. He won't be happy until the equator is a deep freeze.

  • I see Manbearpig has moved his Carnival Show on to more profitable pastures. Although he might want to be careful down there, people are already highly pissed off about the methane taxes on livestock.
