A NY judge has upheld the city’s dismantling of the Occupy Wall Street encampment, saying that the protesters’ first amendment rights don’t entitle them to camp out indefinitely in the plaza. “The judge upheld the city’s effective eviction of the protesters after an emergency appeal by the National Lawyers Guild.” Zuccotti Park, where OWS has been squatting (literally and figuratively) is privately owned. If it were ours, we’d quickly put a bunch of foot-long steel spikes in the ground to make sure OWS gets the point about not squatting there.

Far out! Oh how sad they have no place to rot. How about down by the railroad yards or in the sewers?
I understand there is quite an extensive network of very comfortable tunnels underneath Grand Central Station. A bit noisy at times when trains go through the thoroughfare adjoining, but warm through the winter for the same reason. Maybe the Fleabaggers would like to go and spend some quality time amongst the REALLY needy . . .
