You’d never know it from reading the Times. Well, he’s only worth $63 billion so he’s not part of the one percent. Nothing to see here.

If it were not Carlos Slim, it would be Soros propping up this piece of crap propiganda rag. The NYTimes is on borroowed time as far as I am concerned. They can't just have sugar daddy types bankrolling them without changing their buisiness model. They evolve or they die. They will come to that fork in the road, & I think I will see that day in my lifetime. I really hope they don't evolve, actually.

Since Carlos Slim (love that name) is not an American citizen he is not part of the evil One Percent. So the El Presidente Obama can maintain the fiction of being a man of "The People" all the while amassing the largest election war chest in American history.

Why would the Times bother to report this item of non-news? The BO administration doesn't have any dealings with lobbyists, so he couldn't have been doing that, and foreign citizens are not allowed to donate money to US political campaigns, so he couldn't have been discussing, oh, funding one of the new super PACs El Presidente has been forced into using, so what is the story here? If there were anything at all newsworthy about this the most open, honest, transparent administration in the history of the Universe would have told us.(I think I'm going to have to throw up after writing that last sentence.)
