Then stop kissing his ass, carrying his water and cover for him. If the press wanted to become relevant and important again (yea right) they'd conduct in-depth investigative reporting. The same investigative reporting that helped to bring down Richard Nixon.
They will do that, just as soon as we have a Republican in the White House, they will investigate and try to bring him/her down.

This is an easy 'Blame it on Bush' situation, with Team BO explaining that since the prosecution began under Bush they are powerless to stop it.
