I read on another site that these electric shoeboxes liberals love are more dangerous for our atmosphere than our gas guzzlers. This study published by the National Bureau of Economic Research had some big names on it, four economics and business professors, Stephen Holland, University of North Carolina, Greensboro, Erin Mansur, Dartmouth College, Nicholas Muller, Middlebury College and Andrew Yates, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
We are not talking about any conservative strongholds here, these are all very liberal universities. These professors claim that electric cars are about 1/2 cent worse for the environment than gas cars. It seems that someone finally figured out that it takes a lot of electricity to keep these things charged and power plants spew much more gunk into the air than cars do.
Since the electric shoebox is so popular in Kalifornia I'm waiting for the annual summer rolling brownouts to begin. It's kind of hard to charge the things when you have no electricity.
Oh no! They have solar and wind farms now. They incinerate and pulverize birds, to generate electricity. Kalifornia will have all the free electric they want, if the wind and solar ever actually work right, and at about 125 times what they are rated for.
It's not and never has been about "saving lives." It's about CONTROL.
Yay, let's destroy an industry to try to reduce 6,600 premature deaths per year (that's 1.3% of all asthma- and abortion-related related deaths) and ignore the 98.7% of premature deaths caused by abortion. Eleventy!

I need to email my Portland brother so see if he know about this. He is not quite a liberal loon, he still has some New Mexican in him, and he is an avid church goer/pro life kind of guy. This kind of crap is sickening and everyone needs to know about it to get the practice stopped.
