So I get shutting the mess halls down. But they have MRE's that have a small heater included so you can have a hot meal wherever you are, even in the field. Why aren't they doing that? Breakfast IS a vitally important part of overall nutrition, and last I heard, "An army travels on its stomach." And I still say if they need to cut corners, there are other places to start. The first would be in the White House. During WWII the White House was on short rations just like the citizens. They san FDR used to bitch about the frequency Eleanor told the chef to make tuna sandwiches for lunch and snacks!
Typical Military efficiency calls for closing everything down while it's still being used.

Well thank God they're not giving our troops 16 oz. sodas.
Yet another slap in the face by the pos commander. Is it any wonder that the majority of those in the military currently despise this bastard.
Now is time for the VFW and others to ask the public for help in feeding our troops that are in theater. Then listen to der leader try and explain why he and the wookie are eating the way they are, while US Service personnel are having to skip what is considered the most important meal of the day. Was it not the wookie who has been running around talking about nutrition?

My first thought was Moochelle must still be hungry, then I read the comments from Psycho Dad and hisham, and I talked to one of my co-workers (Former Marine) who pretty much agreed support services pull out first and your on your own for meals till you pull out of wherever your at.
I for one, loved hot A's when I was in the field, but I have to agree with PsychoDad: when the exercise comes to an end and things are starting to wind down, the mess facilities are some of the first things out of the field, because they'll be the first things back up in the garrison environment. When all the troops return, they'll be wanting hot A's...they'll have had their fill of MRE's!
As much as I think this usurper and his foul administration deserve our contempt, this is one of those issues that's probably out of their hands. In other words, I doubt he had his decision making fingerprints on this one...if he did, the military's in bigger trouble than I thought.
Is this story really just getting here now, or is it a rerun? This has been making the rounds, and I do think this is one of those "less than meets the eye" deals.
The way I read it, it is SOP for preparations to closing down a base, and mess hall staff are among the first to go, so they are cutting back hot-cooked breakfast and replacing that one meal with MREs.
You all know I don't like him any better than anyone else here, but I'm afraid this is the sort of thing that can make us look as foolish as calling answering a question "heckling."
Okay... but I still say send him to bed without his supper.
Let him eat, I'd rather send Moochelle to bed without supper so he has to deal with it all night.
Way I saw it too, although it's easy to get suckered by it because it's technically all true. Why the people who originated it are either lazy or just as bad as the folks Mr.s Ed & Admin started this site to mock.
