Obama “fires” acting IRS commissioner in attempt to look like he’s taking action on scandal. Treasury Sec’y Jack Lew asked for and received the resignation of acting IRS chief Steve Miller. It turns out that Miller said in an email to his staff that he was going to leave in early June anyway. The sacrificial lamb was dead already. Another big nothing from President No There There.

    • Rice is the obvious next choice. Holder knows too much about too many people.

      We all called it, that Hillary would cut and run ASAP, and she did. She is somewhat insulated now by being out of it. That's why she got so annoyed and angry at the hearings. She has walked away from it, so she feels as if it no longer has anything to do with her.

      These people are all like this. They do stuff - walk away or get caught and slapped on the wrist, and then move on - normally to bigger and better things. Normal people (us plebeians) don't do that. We worry or agonize about bad things that we have done. These people don't. They compartmentalize it, and push it so far back that it no longer really even exists.

      • Shillery can't run from Bengahzi, it happened on her watch. What pisses me off is the so called "patriots" in the House, like Boner and McCant, are not pushing for a supeona forcing her to testify. Somebody screwed up big time, 4 Americans died, Shillery should not be allowed to hide in the shadows.

        • Well, her slimeworm hubby used to have all the dirt on everyone. But I seriously doubt that she had as much impact in office as she hoped she would.

          People LIKED Bill. No one really liked Hillary. She got what she got by using in-your-face demands and powergrabs. That means that people would only grudgingly give her information that she wanted. Bill got what he wanted by using charm and smarm, subtle innuendo and armtwists. That means that people would not only tell him everything he wanted to know, they would happily tell him even more!

          So, I would guess that Hillary never really got the kind of dirt that she hoped to as SOS. She knows stuff, but I doubt if she knows enough to cancel out all the stuff that others know about her.

          She can only hide in the shadows for so long. She has been trying to buy time, hoping that it would go away. If it goes away, she will not run away, she will skip away, flipping everyone off as she does.

          If Obama has to throw any roadkill under the bus, she is not first on the list. Bill still has way too many friends.

          • A good friend is a past State Commander (called a Department Commander) in the American Legion and his wife and he met the Clintons at a national convention. They both say Bill was very friendly, willing to stop and talk for a few minutes, and Hillary was a cold fish. His wife (do women really notice such things?) told me it looked like Hillary put on her makeup with a trowel, it was thick enough to scrape off with a putty knife.

          • Bill always struck me as somebody I'd enjoy hanging out with enjoying an adult beverage or three. Would never trust him in anything else, let alone the keys to the country.

      • Obama is looking to appoint Rice National Security Director. THAT is the biggest insult so far.

  • So this guy was "fired" last the last couple guys who were fired by this administration and turned up elsewhere...The swine don't stray far from the trough.

  • I somehow doubt what boils down to basically a temporary employee, would suddenly decide on their own to target Quagmire's political opponents. This isn't even a half way decent excuse for a complete lie, but we all know his media butt kissers will lap this crap up.

    • A temp employee who was planning to leave next month anyway! I wonder how many favors he got for falling on this sword? I hope they are wasted favors, and that NOBODY buys this crock of pig foam (my new insult!!)

          • Hehe - that reminds me of Manfred Mann's "wrapped up like a douche in the roller in the night". It took until the internet came along to figure out what the heck the lyrics were, lol.

          • Actually, the song was written by Bruce Springsteen, and I knew the lyrics long before the internet, but then I was a good Jersey Boy.

            Wrapped up like a deuce, another runner in the night, refers to a Deuce Coupe. Springsteen used lots of street racing symbolism in his early songs.

          • Admittedly, there are places in Jersey that are less than safe. I have been in them, at night.
            While Newark at night is a scary place to be, I was in Harlem at 3 am in the late 70's. THAT was the one that made me the most nervous.

          • LOL Jersey. I go to Oakland and Richmond, not nice places. New Jersey is the only place I've ever been where I wished I had a 12 gauge pump next to me. I don't know where I was but I was going from Parsippany to Manville on 287. I missed Manville and ended up in 'beautiful' Perth Amboy. I made a u-turn and went back north but I ended on on 95. Looking at the map I got on 28 which goes back to Manville. I think about Plainfield even the cops were selling drugs on the corners and I may have been the only white guy for miles. I felt very luck to get back to Manville.

  • I bet you dollars to dimes that the guy Obama just fired didn't have anything to do with this mess. Who knows, maybe we'll get another big league whisleblower out of this. I can always be optomistic.

    • Turns out I was right. The guy Obama fired was not involved with the IRS at the time of the abuse and was tendering his resignation at exactly the same time Obama asked him to step down anyway. Perhaps he's looking to become the embassador to San Francisco, after all, Kalifornia is about to become a third world nation and this president loves him some third world nations.
