Again, I'd give him a pass on his little tired human moments but the media and comedians have invested SO MUCH in portraying Quayle, W. Bush, Palin, Bachmann and even Ford and Reagan as stupid. For the better part of eight years, Letterman would nightly show Bush's gaffes in a "Great Moments In Presidential History" segment", but he won't touch this stuff.
