Ok, legal scholars, how is this binding since the executive has no authority that I know of under Article II to enter into an international agreement without the advice and consent of the Senate?
It's not binding. That's the only positive thing you can say about this, that there isn't a chance in hell that a Republican Senate will ratify a treaty that destroys the U.S. economy while China sits back and laughs. Not a chance in hell, even with spineless McConnell in charge.
So basically this was an exercise in futility designed to make Obama's leftwing supporters think he's stopping the oceans from rising.
I wonder if this is part of a Democrat setup to make it look like Congress isn't cooperating with President Obola? Sign a treaty that he knows won't be passed on a cold day in hell and then they can bitch about it and point the finger at the GOP.
When is a treaty not a treaty? The President, I bet, will just direct the EPA to hit some arbitrary emission rate while China continues to do whatever it wants. Green Marxism. I swear these morons must see atmospheric CO2 as a static pie thing and it isn't fair to them that our slice is as big as it is. In the name of stopping white economic privilege, the US will cede some of its CO2 output to China. Unintentionally, this shows the lie of AGW since global reduction is not the goal, is it?
