Me thinks people have grown weary of "Dear Leader's" Hoax and Blame leadership style. I'm sure a lazy, narcissistic, liar wasn't what they though they were voting for back in 08.
The problem is they didn't know WHAT they were voting for. And if they were stupid enough to do it once, there is a high risk they will be stupid enough to do it again.

I voted for Obama, for example, because (1) he has a strong background in constitutional law, (2) he is liberal, but willing to reach to the center in the interest of cooperation (and, no, the Tea Party is not an example of centrist ideology), (3) he's an excellent role model for kids, as well as the personification of the American Dream (which was falling into tatters over the previous 8 years); (4) his popularity abroad suggested that we Americans might be able to regain our reputation as fair and altruistic, which had been pretty much trashed by Bush; (5) we'd tried right wing extremism, and ended up with two unwinnable wars, a wrecked economy, millions of outsourced jobs and a bonanza for the ultra rich, whereas Clinton, that other liberal, had left us with a prosperous nation; (6) I believed that Hillary Clinton (who was at that time hated by the far right) had too much baggage to be able to win the election; (7) call me crazy, but I thought how nice it would be, once again, to have a president who was the smartest person in the room.
As for your tired old accusation that we supported him because he was black: as I recall, it was you and Kimmy who exulted at the prospect of being able to call us liberals racists, if Herman Cain won the RNC nomination, and we made any negative comments about him. Thus, it was you righties, not us "leftists," who wanted to exploit your candidate's racial status.

That's my wishful thinking. Really I don't know who is going to win, all I know is the American people will probably end up losing somehow.
I hope you're right but I'm worried by the money, the tactics and the allies of the Democrats. I suspect this Presidential election will be the diriest in American history---the unions, the MSM, the Occubots, the Chicago mafia and the Democrat Left will be fully mobilized while illegals and the dead will be casting votes for The One.
