He's right. This "stupid" Americanknew from day one that Obamacare would never do what it claim e d. With a background in nursing AND insurance, i knew what they were promising was so much bull. I told some friends, "This isn't going to increase the number of insured. It willonly shift who is ensured. So the very ooor and the borderline poor cannow get insurance, but the average working person cannot. Great progress!
My wife got her Obamacare renewal info for 2015.
Her premium AFTER subsidies went up 70%.

To hear this fellow speak you'd think we lived in a direct democracy and consent of the governed had actually been required to pass this monstrosity. Of course he is correct that every bit of possible obfuscation was employed to fool the American people (those he calls the "stupid") but in the end the public was not fooled. The bill/law has never enjoyed anything remotely close to popular support and if they were actually represented by members of the legislature it would have died in committee. In the end the trickery wasn't needed for the American people bur rather for members of the Democrat party that were very afraid of what would happen if they signed onto the thing (and considering the shellacking of 2010 rightly so). And even that wasn't enough as evidenced by the procedural trickery used to speed the legislation along when it could not properly be generated in the house, and billions upon billions of dollars were used to buy the votes of key Democrats that still weren't convinced.

It's maddening listening to these Ivy Leaguers lisp their way through pronouncements of our stupidity, when even the dumbest voter in America can see what they've done is bad policy, bad economically, and bad ethically. The problem isn't that we have elitists telling the rest of us what to do - the problem is that the elitists doing the telling are monumentally under-educated and stupid.

Is there a social illness in America? YES, and in this video anyone can see it's simplest manifestation. There are people (not according to race, sex, or political party) who believe they have the right to decide the destiny of their fellow citizens. The most egregious example is a woman who decides to abort a perfectly good baby because of it's sex. OR, the doctor because of a perceived handicap.
HOWEVER, these elitist attitudes of self-righteousness goes far beyond picking out who is fit for abortion. Obamacare will affect everyone in America - but the law was written to hide it's impact? This is just plain evil and disrespectful of the American citizen. These are the actions of a soft dictatorship, a sophisticated tyranny of the first order.
The Tree Of Liberty under which Americans have taken shade and comfort for over 200 years is dying - these type of laws could only be passed because of the coming death of that tree. WHAT will renew the vigor and strength of this countries Liberty and the Citizen's Freedoms? Will Jobs secure our safety and security? Will Good Legislators secure our Liberties, Freedoms and Homes? I think not - the cure is more foundational than that, in my opinion. Sacrifice and a willingness to give ALL for the welfare of the Republic - that is the need.
Without that Sacrifice, America is only a memory of something that once was....
