If Obama-care stands & gains a foothold, there will be a safety valve. Medical tourism. Americans will need a passport to get the medical care they will not be allowed to get through Obama-care. Whether progressive dumbfucks like "john" like it or not, that's what will happen. Because heavy handed state control always creates alternate markets, off shore or underground. Doctors who can set up offshore, will do so, & I will salute them.
BTW, the very 1st thing that Romney should do when elected is to REVERSE ALL OBAMA-CARE EXEMPTIONS by executive order, every one of them. He should also force all federal gov't workers, including Congress & their staffers into the exchanges as well. Then start working on the repeal. Because most of the idiots who pushed/supported Obama-care came in 2 basic camps...
1. Those who believed they were getting a better deal.
2. People who pushed it politically, but think they have an escape hatch around the system.
...put EVERYONE into the system, & then work to get rid of it.
By putting Congress into the system, it will give them an incentive to repeal it.

As any real progressive legal scholar can tell you - but won't - that we don't need so many doctors. We need lawyers. And to keep the lawyers healthy, we need some doctors, but really, why would we need so many doctors for people that aren't lawyers? Seriously.

As the POS legislation was planned to do. Ration doctors, ration healthcare. If there are not enough doctors, it will be more difficult and take longer to see one.
God forbid you need a specialist. That just might take up to the end of your life to see one. If some would do the research, they would see that prostrate cancer survivability in the US right now is 92%. While in the UK it's less than 30%. It's all because in the UK it takes up to 18-21 months to see an oncologist.

The public perception of Doctors is based on the old time country doctor who treated folks whenther they could pay or not, and took chickens and veggies in trade for a fee. The reality is that today physicians spend 4 years in college, 4 years in medical school, 3-4 years in a residency, and possibly another 3-4 years in a fellowship in their chosen field of medicine. When they start a private practice they are hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt, as most of that time is either non paying (indeed, one must pay for them) and the rest is at less than minimum wage. They have been in school or another phase of training for a decade or more, and are just starting out when most people are well established in their careers. Every patient wants boatloads of tests, a CAT scan, an MRI, and anything else they saw on TV last week. That costs. Most pysicians are not very business qualified, and have to hire an office manager (used to be the Doctor's wife, but not much anymore) to keep the business side working. The staff of the office have to be paid, insurance provided, holiday pay, etc. So they have to make money somewhere. If an office visit is charged at say $50, generally medicare pays aound $20-$25. 20% of that is the patients responsibility whch may or may not be paid in a timely fashion. Medicaid pays even less. So much of the decision ends up being going bankrupt and closing the office forever, or stop taking medicare and medicaid and stay open for those who can pay or who have adequate insurance. It simply a business decision. Whatever your field of expertise, would you, COULD you work for free to address the elderly and poor? I think not. So why are doctors vilified for trying to make a living?
It's all about the demonization of the rich being practiced by the left. Even the rich ones do it.
They have to have a medium for you to hear them. Sadly, if you sit in your living room and wait for it to be delivered to you, you will never hear it.
Just check what's happened here in Mass., chump. DOCTORS ARE LEAVING. Either going out of state or just taking early retirement. And it's a positive feedback cycle -- the fewer doctors there are, the more of a burden they carry, which only drives even more away.

Medicare denies treatment 2.5 times more often than private insurance. Medicaid denies treatments 3 times more often than medicare.
In short, the 0bama tax on healthcare is going to cost all of us more, provide less and fewer treatment options, and kill you quicker all for getting 8 million people on Medicaid.
