Obamacare Myth-Making

Obamacare Myth-Making. “Five phony success stories.” [Sniff, sniff] We smell well-creased pants burning. Again.

Bonfire of the Absurdities: After 35 year career writing software for IBM mainframes, am now self-employed contractor thinking of joining a union and striking for higher wages. Cured morbid fear of heights when I learned to look at them as lengths standing on end. Uncompromising in refusal to accept browser cookies. Amateur investor who has accumulated a small fortune in the market after starting out years ago with a large one. For recreation, I run, hike, kayak and play tennis but will not consider synchronized swimming under any circumstances.

  • 6 million cancelled for 5 success stories..hmm I am not math wiz but it appears the ratio of people having a good experience to those who got screwed by Obamadeathcare is somewhat lopsided..... For the low intelligence/largeforehead crowd, think of it like the number of viewers of BSNBC versus Fox....

    • Its that new math being introduced by common core and snore gore. Work the numbers until you can get the answer you wish. Kind of like statics.

  • I'm going to put on my inner douchebag pederast and say that any people talking about success stories under Obama-democrat Care are "liars."

  • Quagmire and his media underlings will continue to tell everyone how great this bullshit law is, even though the state exchanges are going under left and right.

  • Here is the 2700 page Obama Care condensed to 4 sentences.....
As it seems to be working, this is according to plan!
    1. In order to insure the uninsured, we first have to un-insure the insured.
    2. Next, we require the newly un-insured to be re-insured.
    3. To re-insure the newly un-insured, they are required to pay extra charges to be re-insured.
    4. The extra charges are required so that the original insured, who became un-insured, and then became re-insured, can pay enough extra so that the original un-insured can be insured, free of charge to them.
(This is called “redistribution of wealth” … or, by its more common name, SOCIALISM.)

  • LOL! My wife tried unsuccessfully for 2 weeks to pay her bill. Turns out the insurance company gave her the wrong policy number. It was a number that wasn't valid for any account! Finally, after 2 bad ID cards, she got the right number and paid the premium. Now we get to find out just how much it's REALLY going to cost with deductibles, etc.
    ELEVENTY! FORWARD!

    • Why we're you thumbed down? General principles, since you were only reporting your personal experience? Maybe she who shall not be named is lurking. She would do that

        • Yeah, we had a whistleblower say the same thing here in the clinics attached to our VS hospital. Exact v same thing. Falsify dates of requests and actual appointment dates to make it look like they are being seen in 14 days. The stuff is seriously hitting the fan here in Military City!

          • sa_rose,

Keep you head down. You are correct its going to hit the fan and all the higher ups are going to do their damnedest to put it off on an subordinate.

As for the TDs, I really enjoy it when I see one next to my posts without any reason for it. Proves that the left is void of any ideas and unable to debate the points. Hell recently we had a dispatcher start screaming about raising the minimum wage and how unfair it was that it was only 7.25 She could not grasp the fact that if it was raised to 15 per hour the cost of everything would go up and all of her uneducated children would be unemployed. Yes all three of her kids quit school and can not find any job other than 7.25.

          • Only four percent of the American workforce is working for minimum wage. It's obscenely high when you realize that high school dropouts and inexperienced kids is what it's meant for.
