  • The problem is the 47 percent of the people who are living large on the taxpayer's dime. That's "Dear leader's" voting base, and by the DNC's own admission, the percentage of our population they are pandering to.

  • Polls a year away from the elections mean squat. I'm thinking as the next few months go by we will continue to see the economy in the toilet, unemployment high, higher inflation rates and the continued unveiling of the scam called Obamacare. If this holds true even hard core socialists, excuse me, Democrats, will see the foolishness of electing this clown again.

  • I can't believe there are that many racist people in this country. Whats wrong with them ? Are they brainwashed from the vast right wing conspiracy ? Why can't Amerika accept a black man as president ? --- Oblivious

    Amerika--- the movie.

  • Obama's low job approval rating now may not mean much in eleven months. He has a huge reelection war chest while the unions and the MSM are his firm allies, so a low job approval rating now may not mean much in eleven months. Too, I predict that the 2012 election will be the dirtiest in American history as the Donks pull out all the stops.

....and the Republcians are always liable to nominate another Bob Dole or John McCain.

    • All very good points but if the economic picture stays where it is now and he continues to run down the country with his stupid remarks the same thing will likely happen at the polls in 2012 as what Bonfire described happened in 1980.

    • Absolutely. I was talking with somebody yesterday who doesn't like Obumbler but thinks the GOP field is weak. I told him come hell or high water, I will be voting for who or whatever runs against Obama, I don't care at this point. Almost anyone would be an improvement.

The same argument was made about Jimmy Peanuts in 1980. He was basically tied with Reagan in the polls going into the last weekend but there were a lot of undecideds. The vast majority of them basically said "I can't stand another 4 years of this nitwit" and pulled the lever for Reagan. The tie became a landslide.

      • Truthfully, I would vote for an armadillo if it was running against Obama. It certainly couldn't do a worse job than he has.
I would certainly hope for someone other than Romney, but with Cain looking like he can't win the nomination, there isn't too much else to choose from. Bachmann and Santorum don't seem to have the support, Perry is just about done, Paul has some good ideas, but he always takes things too far, Huntsman is a non issue, Gingrich has his own issues, but seems like the only one that can overcome Romney. I am just worried about Gingrich and his liberal leanings on some issues.

        • If it could read off a teleprompter it would be the same as Obama except for one specific reason... Armadillos are natives to the Americas (central and south) but at least its not Africa

      • Well that says more about the polls than Reagan, Grits, or the voters. I KNOW: there will never be another Reagan in our lifetime, if ever. But it was the sheer stature of Reagan himself that made that landslide, and face it folks, we aint got nuttin even close to that, this time around. Cain MIGHT have grown into that stature, but I'm afraid the Cain Train just took a hard curve an jumped the rails.

Anyway, bottom line, 1980 was a towering figure against a dismal disappointment. Right now, we have dismal disappointment and abject failure - but unless we can pull up someone who is more than "Not Obama" (which is all his election was, he wasn't Bush), apathy may win, and America will lose.

        • In 2012 - the only way America looses is granting n0bama a 2nd Term - OR placing n0bama II in the White House for his 1st Term (Mitt Romney) - IMHO.

    • Well, it ain't over until the fat sasquatch moves out.

I do not want to ever keep the pressure off of getting Barry out. I also do not want a schmuck running against him just because he's a "sure thing".
