Islam is actually Mohammed's distorted idea of how HE wanted Christianity to be. Neither of them follows paganism in any real way, except to co-opt pagan holidays and symbolism. Otherwise, paganism and Christianity have almost nothing to do with each other.

Don't get me wrong, guys. I am in no way trying to lessen the evil that is Islam. I'm just saying that Christianity co-opted many of Paganism's rituals, holidays, and icons to make themselves more palatable to the Pagans as they forced Christianity upon them. Paganism is NOT an evil force, and while it has very little to do with Christianity, it has even less to do with Islam.

Another way to conceive it is that all of pre-Christian cultures had little foreshadowings of the final revelation which was to come. In other words, Christ was the fulfillment not only of Israel, but of Olympus and Valhalla as well.
BTW, when did this "forcing" start? Was it before or after the spectacles of Nero? It was the courageous martyrdom of the Christians which converted Rome. If he's not a student at the university, his suit should be summarily thrown out for lack of standing. I wouldn't want to be surrounded by crosses and religious icons, either. That's why I don't study at religious schools. It's really pretty simple. But then, maybe he's just "practicing" law.

Things are getting so out of control that it may not be long before a backlash unlike has ever been seen will begin to form. I don't want that to happen, but as one person, I will not be able to stop it either.
It is preventable. All we have to do is insist that cases like this (if they go to court) be thrown out as frivolous. If these people are uncomfortable, they should leave and find someplace more comfortable.
It is their wish to ignite controversy by using the ACLU and anti-discrimination laws against everyone who believes differently, in order to establish a foothold in this country and force people to conform to their narrow belief system. And there are people who will not like this and will not conform, no matter what some liberal activist judge will rule.
What people do not understand is, there is a way way to be so fair that it becomes unfair.

Paden, and Dean, I'm no expert by any means, and I have no gift of prophecy* about end times, but my view on this is that there will come a time when true believers in Jesus will be driven underground again, before he comes. If you look at the Interfaith OWS "holy" ground, I think you'll see, and i just saw this reported yesterday, you'll see an amalgamation of the world's religions beginning. I don't have any idea what this amalgam will do with the muslims once Christians are driven into hiding, but it's my guess they'll have enough global support to finally buy off or kill anyone who's not in that religion. I know I've been influenced by LaHaye's books but that's the way I see things.
I believe when Jesus told his followers that we are the salt of the earth, he meant it not as salt being a preservative, but rather an ingredient making something bland and tasteless palatable.

I've also read This Present Darkness and Frank Peretti's Cooper kids series ( I read those when I was younger, 11 or so ). After reading This Present Darkness its hard for me not to image certain people without claws or talons attached to their cranium.

I wanted to read the books my mom was reading, but she wouldnt let me read them( the adult geared Peretti Books because she was afraid it would be too frightening for me, ) So she bought me Door in the Dragon's Throat, since it was by the same author. Its an adventure series about an archaeologist and his two kids. Back then there were only 5 or so published, there are now 8 of them i think? Anyway I liked them, they are good reading for the age goup. :)

Well no shit there's no space for Muslim prayer, it's a Catholic university! If you're a Muslim, why would you even want to go to a Catholic school (well, besides to start shit like this)? There are plenty of high quality public, non-religious institutions across the country, why not go to one of those?

I had never heard the term before now. Glad I looked it up. A shame that the entire strategy is out there for everyone to see but no-one in a position to do something about it is willing to begin the counter-action. Not unlike the 1930s...the threat of Nazism was obvious yet the world ignored it hoping it would go away or stay contained. How is this different other than it is happening within our borders?
