All we can hope for with Toomey is that he gets primaried out when his term is up.
If Toomey can't handle attack ads this far out, imagine how tightly he'll wind himself into the fetal position come election time.
He's looking like he'll become an establishment type that is killing the GOP. Following the lead of McCain, & Graham is a sure fire way to piss away your credability.

I know I'm wrong in thinking this, but if something went wrong on 1 of his weekend trips to the Bahamas, which he does every weekend, I can't say I would miss him. It's wrong, but I'm being honest, maybe too hinest.
Compared to Obama, Cass Sundstein, Van Jones, et-al, Bloomturd is a piker.
"Stick it Toomey" went from hero to zero in a matter of days. Here in Central Pennsylvania he has lost so much support Arlen Spector's ghost could beat him on a write in. The natives are restless.

I don't think McConnell did anything but play everyone. He damn well knew this filibuster would die before he had to participate and he damn well knew that he could safely vote no because McCain and his RINO Posse had enough votes to let the debate go on sans filibuster.
If this passes, next up will be Boehner. I bet he tucks his dick between his legs and lets it come to a vote in the house, too.

I think you hit the nail on the head exactly. McConnell is playing KY voters as suckers in his re-election bid.
So in other words Toomey sold out just like Manchin. As has been noted this round was lost but the fight is far from over. It's time to bloody noses and kick RINO asses. If anyone post here from Montana, take notice that Backus voted for cloture after indicating he wouldn't. For once McConnell stood up and held his ground. Too bad he can't control those who he's supposed to be leading.
