  My Gateway 27" TFT LCD monitor is "stuck" in sleep mode. I hate the tech "help" sites because it's mostly bs but I had to check (and read) them. No Joy. Gateway site was worthless, anybody?

  • Have you tried unplugging it from the power AND computer?
    Let it sit for an hour and try it again. Otherwise, you might have a switching circuit problem and need an ET.

    • Also, try another monitor to eliminate a computer problem.
      Please tell me you didn't download Windows 8.1.

      • it's an internal problem w/ the monitor, I know that. It happened a couple 3 years ago right after I bought it, once I found the "fix" it was simple to do, driving me grayer trying to find said fix again.

        • No, no, no. From what I can pry from my mind from way back, while a simple fix, it was between Windows and the monitor, easy to execute once I found it.

        • OK, well I haven't had a desktop in about 10 years, so I'm lost.

        • Nah, I plug the laptop into it for Pshop and dual screens sometimes, and also watch movies on it. Or used to anyway, bummer.

        • Just in case anyone missed it, DO NOT install 8.1. It is a major crash looking for a place to happen.

• Notice how they show the white chick as smaller, shorter and subservient and they show the Wookie as taller, impatient and domineering? I don't think any of that is accidental...the similarities of this "propaganda" photograph and something Albert Spiers and Adolpf Hitler might have collaberated on is striking! Who is this subliminal messaging for?

  • I tend to ignore the symbolism in propaganda photographs, and just look at who the subjects are. There's enough info there to tell the story.

• Progressives do not believe there is such a thing as 'color blind'(they seem to have a problem with 'subtle', too) I also notice the story says she delivered a "poignant" speech, but fails to mention any of the content of the speech. Given the race-baiting history of Team BO, she must have gotten off some major zingers about the current state of things.

    • She is a '' white colored '' everything she does is white elite, vacations in hamptons, Hawaii, spain, france, etc......

    • Actually white is an absence of color, like black, they're neutral's. We are all just shades of brown. Uh oh.

      • No, white is the combination of all colors in the light spectrum, that's how you get a rainbow when you shine a light through a prism.
