Best dogs I've ever had. Period.
I have a female that's almost 9. Had her since she was about 7 weeks old. Excellent dog. She's loyal, very smart, protective (but not overly) has never bitten anyone, great with kids, travels in the car good, never chews up anything, you can leave her in the house for hours and she won't mess the floor. Doesn't get any better as far as I'm concerned.
People who know dogs know that it's the owner, not the breed of the dog, that makes the difference.
Absolutely! WHile this breed may be easier to train to be vicious, they can also be trained to be sweet household pets. They are completely loyal to their owners, and good with kids. It is the morons who buy them to look tough (see I'm bad ass because I have a bad ass dog) are the problem. The same has happened with Dobermans, Rotties, even German Shepherds.
That's an awesome dog.
And a felony for owning a pit pull? Really? *sigh*. I expected better from Texas.
