Plaque on building at Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago. The plaque, which the university refuses to change, was installed in 1905 so that’s how long the Democrat Party has been trying to revise history to hide their ignoble past.

That's effing funny.
How about a monument that says:
"President John Fitzgerald Kennedy-Republican, visited this spot in Dallas in 1963 and was shot and killed by a communist democrat"
I foresee a large amount of poo being tossed about in a circular air movement device.
Typical liberal tactic, they lie with every breath.
That's nothing, now they have this lie where their dear leader Prez. Quagmire single handedly brought affordable health care to all Americans, and lowered the unemployment rate to zero.
Lmao leave it to the dim wits to try to claim Lincoln was a democrat...and the mass of uninformed voters to actually BELIEVE it.
The part about the LIVs I believe.
Lmao leave it to the dim wits to try to claim Lincoln was a democrat
Original RINO
Even if it originally meant small-d "democrat" it certainly doesn't convey that, and given today's historical ignorance and deliberate deception -- yeah, this is very deceptive.
THOMAS JEFFERSON -- REPUBLICAN
Actually, I think he was. Different party, Democrat-Republican Party, but they called themselves Republicans and favored states rights rather than a strong federal government. Their opposition was the Federalist Party which favored a strong federal government... like today's Democrats.
I mean Jefferson believed in a republic and a republican form of government -- in the same sense that Lincoln was a "democrat".
There was the Social-Democrat also, whom at the time was building the numbers in each state in hopes of overthrowing the Capitalist system of America. They believed in the one world government and industrial world union... that is more like the Democrat of today.
In this context, it was meant to imply his belief in Democracy, not affiliate him with any party. I'm gunna go with that.
If you're referring to the plaque about Lincoln, he didn't. Believe in democracy, that is. The university's defense of its plaque is nonsense. Democracy is a particularly noxious form of tyranny because is covers itself in the mantle of self-righteousness while it oppresses, as we can see with the current occupant of the White House. The Republican Party was named by its founders to reflect their awareness that this is (thank God) not a democratic nation but rather a constitutional republic. Abraham Lincoln, the very first Republican president, was no more a little-d democrat than he was a big-d Democrat.
I hear ya. I don't claim to be any scholar on the word, believe me! BUT, to quote Lincoln himself, "As I would not be a slave, so I would not be a master. This expresses my idea of democracy." This is neither self-righteous nor oppressing, by his own definition.
Even Bush has said, "As a democrat, as a person who believes in democracy -- a Republican democrat, I might add -- as someone who believes that everybody has a right to live in a free society. . .January, 2005, is an extraordinary month."
I'm interested in hearing the true intent and meaning meant behind it. Where is the original dedication speech? I find the history of it interesting. I'm sure it's been asked many a time, just haven't seen it myself, as of yet.
More accurately it should read Abraham Lincoln Zombie Killer.
Maybe it's supposed to say Abraham Lincoln- Democrat Killer.
I don't know, I think they'd rather co-opt Lincoln than try to denigrate him.
Yes!
Win!
