Poll: Majority of U.S. citizens say illegal immigrants should be deported

• And they need to quit lumping ALL immigrants into the Illegal immigrant group. I am not at all opposed to those who immigrate legally. And if you ask THEM, they are more anti illegal than any natural born citizen.

• It's time that those who came here illegally get out!! There should not be an easy path for them. It is also time to go back to the quota system that was used. A set number from a certain country per year. No exceptions...

  Next those who immigrate here have 5 years in order to become a full functioning citizen, able to support themselves and their family, able to speak and read the language and to pass a citizenship test. Shot, all graduating high school seniors and college seniors should have to pass some type of citizenship test as well.

• I would be happy to help round em up and head em out, but alas Kalifornia says thats a no-no and instead we pay for their college, medical care, food stamps and all the other free shit, to the tune of 10 BILLION DOLLARS A YEAR.

• If the businesses these political hacks own didn't hire so many illegals, maybe they would do something about it. Legal, taxpaying citizens in this country are rapidly becoming 2nd class citizens.

  • Businesses? Hell, the hacks themselves are hiring them. Nannies, gardeners, drivers, mechanics, and they don't pay into social security for them, nor do they withhold taxes, to save themselves even more. How can the hirees complain?

• Again, I ask it:

  Mexicans have a country. It's called "Mexico." What happened to it?

  • It went the way the US is going. THe middle class was eliminated, and the 2 classes left were the Uber rich and the Uber poor. So the uber poor want to go live somewhere where they can make some money and live rather than exist. Unfortunately, they save thousands of dollars to be transported by a coyote instead of going the legal route and getting accepted.

  • It's a beautiful place, too. Great natural resources, beautiful mountains, beaches, jungles, all wasted on socialism.

• You know, this goes well with the story above it about both donkeys and elephants being Jackasses. A few years ago, at a joint GOP/TEA Party dinner (in a MX restaurant as it turned out), the speaker from some NE think tank started droning on about the media. "The media portrays conservatives as wanting to see cattle cars filled with illegals being deported. And nobody, nobody wants to see tha. . . " at this point I stood up and said "The hell we don't", and several folks joined me.

  Then a GOP state senator standing behind me explained that crossing the border illegally wasn't a criminal offense until they were tried. . . to which I answered, "Then do your damned job and change the law."

  I don't know if there were any more joint meetings. . . or if I just didn't get invited back to them.

  • So is a murder not a crime until the trial is held? Bull! I understand innocent until proven guilty, but the crime is a crime, as soon as it is commited, not when it is prosecuted. Maybe THAT's what's going on in Congress. They figure they aren't commiting any crimes until they are in the courtroom being prosecuted.

• The more our so-called leaders try to force these law breakers and their cultural dysfunction on us, the more we recoil from moderate positions.

• Cut off from all aid, massive fines to anyone employing them, make them pay the cost of being deported, and they can leave with the clothes on their back and nothing else.
