Most of the soft little ingrates would be crying inside three months, when they find out they have to stand in long lines for EVERYTHING! (No guarantee the item you want or need is going to be there when you finally get to the front of the line either!). Venezuela + potato = no toilet paper! ELEVENTY!!!! Yeah...yeah...

          The Oath of Enlistment (for enlisted):

          "I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God."

          The Oath of Office (for officers):

          "I, _____ (SSAN), having been appointed an officer in the _____ (Military Branch) of the United States, as indicated above in the grade of _____ do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign or domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservations or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office upon which I am about to enter; So help me God."

          The enlisted men have to swear to obey orders from the President, the officers do not. Officers only swear to defend the Constitution against all enemies, both foreign and domestic. I know quite a few active duty personnel and if the Obummer is counting on their support he is in for a rude awakening.

          • I know a lot of active duty and former military also, I'm much less worried about the enlisted than I am about the officers. I have seen too many hungry officers forget what they are supposed to be doing. Just look at all the brass politicians in the Pentagon.
