Port Authority: CDC Investigating Sick Passenger For Possible Ebola At Newark Airport. 255 Passengers plus crew held on plane. In an update we just heard on Fox News that the passenger has been cleared by the CDC. We’d like to know how it took them 2 days to figure out the person in Dallas had Ebola but 5 minutes to figure out the one on the plane doesn’t have it. We wonder if in a few days we’ll find out he did have it and then watch the resulting clusterf**k.

The Liberian passenger according to Fox News was throwing up on the flight. Just perfect a plane with a person who is showing all the signs of Ebola has landed in Newark. Where will the rest of the passengers and crew be going? Home or to a secured area for 21 days just to make sure none of the rest of them are possible carriers? Who had the misfortune of taking the vomit bag? Was there a HazMat team right there to clean the plane? I'll be damned if I'm flying United.
How does the blame fall on United? Do you feel they should have landed and taxied the plane directly into a hangar, closed the doors and detained the passengers for 21 days? The airlines have absolutely no authority or responsibility to do such a thing. Could you imagine the uproar and lawsuits if an airline decided to quarantine a planeload of international passengers because the flight crew suspected a passenger might have ebola?
The CDC met and handled the situation as it is their job and they have the authority to decide what action should be taken. Yes, proper precautions were taken to clean this plane and all involved in doing so were trained and protected. We're just hauling cattle, it is the responsibility of the government to determine what to do with the cattle when it hits the ground in the US.
Do I think the entire planeload of passengers hold have been put in quarantine? Absolutely. Did the CDC fail once again? Yes, because until we get a handle on how to deal with this disease in our country, we should treat each possible case like it is definitely ebola until we can prove otherwise. You can't put that on United Airlines though.
Suspending travel "for the sake of public health" seems more and more a likely scenario.
How extensive is an open question. What better way to control the entire country. Remember the dry run in Boston. The government shut down an entire city over one teenager with a handgun.

President Obola did mention that the chances of the disease entering the US were minimal... so of course we will have it showing up in multiple places across the country. Ebola is just the finishing touch to turning this country into a third world banana republic.

It's a part of why I wonder if this is a plan that has been in the works for a while. Every new event that the government (not just Obama) has something to say about just keeps adding to that sense that our government is trying to destroy the country.
