Believe me when I say that bill is an utter waste of paper that it is written upon. Passing laws for illegals to follow is a true waste of time. They wont follow them. I can not remember how many times I've been involved in investigating accidents where illegals where driving and had no insurance. They had a drivers license and a registered car. When it came time to pay the insurance they said to hell with it. Most dont even bother with paying the taxes after getting the car in their names. So yet again, the takers are screwing the makers.

When my daughter was 6, and I was giving her a brief explanation of gun control, she told me "but mommy - the bad guys wont give back their guns will they? because they don't listen to laws".
SIX. She got it, on her own, at age 6. I mean, I know she is super-smart, but really - she could out-think an entire fleet of politicians in second grade?

Yeah... common sense is absolutely not common. What kind of moron would default to "criminals adhering to the law"? Do they not understand what criminals are? Do they not understand that some 90% of crime is done by 5% of the population (I made that statistic up, like the libtards do - it's easier than just looking it up).

Undoubtedly her precocious critical thinking if demonstrated in the classroom will earn her a trip to the school nurse and a recommendation that she begin taking Ritalin or some other drug. Luckily she went to a traditional, very conservative Catholic school (they still had real nuns!). I was prepared to home-school had I not found this school, and it was all girls to make it even better!
I ended up sending her to a city public high school (they had the BEST AP program - much better than all the suburban schools), so she did not grow up in a gilded cage, but she learned the important stuff when she was young.
Oh, and not a CHANCE she would have been on any medication. None. She is 22 now, and has been on antibiotics once - in high school. There better be a damned good reason for her to put a pill in her mouth, and the reward better far outweigh the risk. Just saying...

I went to a traditional, very conservative Catholic school, real nuns and everything! The Sisters of Mercy, HAH! They were the most merciless b****es you can imagine. They didn't even bother with the ruler across the knuckles, they used the pointer! Across the knuckles, back of the head, wherever they thought it would do the most good.
Well, you were a boy. I don't think most nuns were fond of boys or men, for that matter. They were married to Jesus for a reason. Just saying.
Anyway, if you can think of the old Madeline books - her school was much more like that. there was NO corporal punishment allowed, but it also wasn't needed. The girls tended to try to "out good" each other. At least until about 7th grade. That's when one girl started wearing makeup and talking about boys. She was asked to not return the following year!
I was a little girl when I went to a convent school with real nuns. I don't remember it very well, so I suppose my experience was nice. My Mom told me as I was growing up that the nuns loved me. The last time I had contact with a nun was when I stayed in a convent overnight in Italy. Best night sleep ever. I don't know if nuns are mean to boys there maybe something to do that, just don't know.
The nuns I had were as tough or tougher on the girls. I don't know which order the nuns your daughter had belong to, but they sound much more reasonable.

Create a system where every last person entering this country is able to provide for themselves and their families. They must learn to speak and read English. Their children will be required to speak and read English before entering the schools. My ancestors had to do this, and by God these illegals are no better than they where.
The Connecticut House has voted for illegals to obtain driver's licenses and the bill is awaiting the state Senate's rubber stamp.... ahh I mean vote. The bill's proponents claim their intent is to make the streets safer by licensing and insuring the law breakers who of course are going to *abracadabra* adhere to the law. RIIIIIIIGHT!!
There is something very unsettling afoot and since the justifications for it all don't make sense then they are not true. "House Speaker Brendon Sharkey says the legislation would lead to fewer untrained and unregistered drivers, lower insurance rates, and help the economy" (from CBS Connecticut) All I can say is that Mr. Sharkey believes that the typical Connecticut resident voter is retarded and considering who we keep voting in I'd say he has a point... however, both Mr. Sharkey and I know that ILLEGAL immigrants are not going to conscientiously purchase auto insurance policies after getting their shiny new IDs that will help them get into voting booths that are monitored by the same ilk of mental function that sees Sharkey as a worthwhile public servant.
The vote came at 5:45am Thursday morning which suggests intent to slide this by anyone who might otherwise bother to pay attention... meaning they KNOW they are ruling against the will of the people paying for these shenanigans.
It is time to treat these thugs like the criminals they are and round them all up together with the unlawful invaders they are hell bent on legitimizing and shipping the entire mess to some banana republic like what they are trying to transform the US into.
