In another note... I understand fully why the Spirit stated through Paul and others that women shouldn't be in spiritual positions of leadership... There is always a spectrum, but in the general part of the spectrum women are too emotional, too weak and too easy to confuse/lead astray. Not saying that there aren't men that are weak, emotional and easy to confuse and lead astray, there are (liberals and depends on generation as well). Generally women see what they think is oppression and marginalization and the supposed oppression of Christianity in marginalizing those who are "oppressed" because they don't conform to Christ's values or ways.
Yes physically (except for very few examples in the spectrum globally) emotionally and mentally women ARE GENERALLY indeed weaker than men. I see it clearly now in many ways that I didn't before and I thank G-D. Like I said, it is a spectrum...yes I am a woman, I was born one, but I am not a weak woman (thank G-D... well physically of course, but that is just normal), and I can see the weakness in women whom I know or even don't know. I do think that it is possible I could (with the Spirit's leading always) be a spiritual leader for people, but I understand clearly that I am in a minority (just like the women who are physically comparable to men). Due to knowing myself and other women both in history and now that have the passion and the knowledge and wisdom and love for Christ and are able and willing to take up leadership roles, I thought that women could do it generally, I was wrong. Obviously the Lord G-D knows more than me LOLOL *Thank you Lord*
The Lord Father chose this for us, perhaps because we have OTHER THINGS that as women (generally speaking) we should be doing instead of concentrating on spiritual leadership. The sad part is that men are aging out, dying out or are dumb ass liberals or something and are failing to be in position of righteous spiritual leadership, so women (many who are weak) are filling these roles. I blame men more for their lack of participation and I blame women for taking up roles they shouldn't be taking. Obviously G-D created men AND women who can be in these roles, so He did His part, we are just lacking so much... so sad.
I hear this discussed on Christian radio every once in a while. The hosts make the point that the Bible has no problem with female preachers or female employees of almost any kind. But the leader of the church, if you have one, must be male. The spiritual leader. And it's the same with marriages. I've had this discussion with my two sons-in-law, telling them it's their job to be spiritual leaders in their marriages, not just be dragged to church to make my daughters happy. It's not a critique of women, each gender has its own strengths. But it sure is a sensitive subject to bring up in front of modern women, including my daughters.
It's important to also say what the Roman Catholic church does is NOT Biblical. Stripping all authority from women is not right. There's no reason the Vatican couldn't have a female in charge of the finances, or a female in charge of theology, or in charge of human resources, or any number of positions currently reserved for male members of the clergy. That's just nonsense. Clearly, the Roman church could have used some women in authority over the last couple centuries. I bet women would have acted a lot sooner to protect children from pedophiliac priests.
There you go: Balance. Which is THE POINT of women being created for man alone was without balance as animals were not appropriate SPIRITUAL (and physical) companions for him.
Like I said, there ARE women who can legitimately take up spiritual leadership roles, but those are few and far in between and I am certain in direct response to a legitimate lack of male spiritual leadership (example Deborah (Judges), Ruth, the women -One of them certainly Saint Mary, the Lord's Mother, who went to the tomb, etc.). Even if male spiritual leadership is available, perhaps she is there to provide balance or assistance as spiritual partner and/or companion or friend to a male who may lack something (Deborah again is a good example of this).
The GENERAL/MAJORITY situation is however, that the spiritual leaders needs to be wise, appropriate RIGHTEOUS males that are accountable to EVERYONE. It is what it is. There are reasons, for this... women roles are diverse and accountability to few, which is necessary for us to do what we need to do. Like you said, women GENERALLY SPEAKING are here to provide BALANCE and (spiritual) assistance and companionship. There has got to be reasons why we women tend to be "called" or feel rooted in certain jobs or careers or callings or vocations. We are helpers that is our role as per The Word in Genesis.
Women just need to come to terms with this. G-D knows what He is doing and why He did what He did.

Christians who are bored with the message and with Christ (forgot our first love-Revelations) and with responsibilities of being a Christian (not taking the time to spread the message correctly, not taking the time to correct people, not taking the time to read nor study the Bible, not even trying to put correct missionaries in the field and support them financially and spiritually).
Also those who are fat (as in over indulgent), too complacent, pliable and incorrectly ACCEPTING of everything that society throws at us and are too comfortable surrounded by evil and with evil, too cowardly, too ignorant, too meek, too arrogant...
Our love of others (and Christ) is running cold (that is one of the reasons why persecution happens in our societies to get us out of this complacent and comfortable and bored existence. Persecution in other places is actually because the opposite is happening, bold Christians doing the rightful work. We get it from all sides and for all reasons, but it is better to be persecuted for doing the RIGHT spiritual thing, than for NOT doing the right spiritual thing).
All these things are in the Book of Revelations my friends (and elsewhere even the First Testament). We were told this would happen. We are running to those who tickle our ears and tells us we are awesome and everything is good as long as we keep being accepting and "understanding" and are into diversity for diversity sake.
People are coming into the Church not wanting to change, but wanting to change the Church. Wanting to make G-D small like us and not us wanting to imitate Jesus' behavior and ways and thus go HIGHER. He is asking us to ascend and step UP and we keep wanting to step down or wanting Him to step down... well He did stepped down SO HE CAN HAVE US STEP UP, not so we can keep being nasty. He cannot stay down, He had to ascend and go back to His Nature. We have to step up and ascend Christian folks, that is our legacy in Him. We are failing miserably and the state of our churches is the proof and we should be ashamed... yet it was all written down, so I am not surprised.
She needs to read John 10. The book of John is the best to get to know Jesus. Who he really is.

Sounds like the minister is looking at running for office as a democreep.
