The group Pink Floyd in their song " Sheep "
Hopelessly passing your time in the grassland away :
Only dimly aware of a certain unease in the air .
You Better watch out ,
There may be dogs about
I've looked over Jordan , and I've seen
Things are not what they seem.
What do you get for pretending the danger's not real .
Meek and obedient you follow the leader
Down well trodden corridors into the valley of steel .
What a surprise !
A look of terminal shock in your eyes .
Now things are what they seem.
No this is not a bad dream ......

A few years ( 2005 ) back a category 5 hurricane named Katrina was bearing down on the city of New Orleans . A large amount of dumb , dumb people did nothing . It did not end well for many folks .
There is something really bad getting ready to happen . I will quote Sir Winston Churchill --
" If you will not fight when you can easily win without bloodshed:
If you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not too costly :
You may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a small chance of survival.
There may even be a worse case : you may have to fight when there is no hope of victory , because it is better to perish than to live as slaves. "
That was an awesome concert. July 3 1977 Madison Square Garden.
The band asked that we not throw fireworks, even though they acknowleged that it was our Independence Day.
Some moron threw an M-80 at the stage, and Roger Waters said "You stupid M-F'er" and told the crowd that if they kept it up, they would stop the concert.
It happened again and the entire Garden yelled "You stupid M-F'er!" and the band kept playing.
This is nothing of significance. Obama's Executive Order is almost word for word the same as the original in 1994. He merely updated it to include some cabinet-level entitites (like Homeland Security) that didn't exist in 1994.
He does enough wrong without inventing stuff to get riled about.
I understand what you are saying, but it seems to me that you do not see that there could be something else afoot here.
Well, if something else is afoot, it's been afoot for 18 years already. Obama added nothing to the afootedness.
LOL
OK like I stated earlier, if he is (or Soros or his handlers are) manufacturing an event or waiting for one this is a sinister move on his part even if it doesn't seem to be that big of a deal.
I'm sure you know the fable of the Bedouin and the camel who wanted to stick just his nose into the tent to warm it?
Isn't that the camel who married Osama bin Laden?
Ba-dump-bump!
He'll be here all week, folks.
Barry could always orchestrate some kind of disaster and declare a State of Emergency at the last minute, in order to keep himself in the White House for four more years. This adlministration is good at pulling terrorist plots and the like out of thin air. They are in deep shit this time and you know they would be willingly complicit in some kind of conspiracy to keep Obama in office.
The best defense we have against this is an OFFENSE consisting of a barrage of prayers. Let's get it going!
Well prayers is a wonderful thing to do so I dont understand the thumbs down. If the TDer doesn't believe in prayer, he doesn't have to do it. I think all in all that we have to do down this road, we just have to be ready for whatever happens.
This is terrifying, nowhere does it say exactly what constitutes a national emergency. Another naked power grab by a wanna be Hugo Chavez.
I believe YOU questioning what a national emergency is, constitutes a NATIONAL EMERGENCY! Quick, get me the Dept. Of Labor on the phone!!
This power grab is a pure end run around the Constitution of the United States. Keep in mind it was holder who stated that only the president determines when Congress was not in session, not the Congress.
FTA: assess on an ongoing basis the capability of the domestic industrial and technological base to satisfy requirements in peacetime and times of national emergency...
------
Read it again. "National emergency," it seems, is not even a requirement.
We are all Kulaks now.
Hail, the anti-Christ!
A great deal of time is spent here making light of the ugliness in Washington. This story is not one to be taken lightly in any way, shape or form. This evil president has been coming to this his entire time in office. It has been like watching hugo chavez grab power, all his moves were so plainly obvious, and nobody would stop him.
A mid east war would allow him to stay in office another four years allowing this son of a bitch to enact all of his hope and change policies while all of us are preoccupied watching our sons and daughters die in some god forsaken desert fighting a war STARTED BY A MAN TO INSURE HIS REELECTION (sitting presidents rarely are voted out in time of war). He can do this very easily now with the power granted him by this new executive order, WHERE THE FUCK IS CONGRESS!?!. He will have supreme control over us all with his new Utah "Stellar Wind" project (http://www.wired.com/threatlevel/2012/03/ff_nsadatacenter/all/1) slated for a possible opening of 9/12 just in time to own us all before the election. His executive order has all our riches divided among his wholly anti american cabinet, now just squash and burn what's left of our Constitution and mooshell can at long last be proud of the cold rock she and her chicago organizer have created. I am still dumfounded that he was elected, but I am certainly not surprised at what he has done, it was fairly plain to see from the beginning. Maybe we deserved it, who said it, "All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing", guilty, I have been making jokes about him, rather than trying to stop him. Who is our best solution? Romney. Shit, we don't deserve this great country if this is the best we can produce. WE NEED TO DEMAND A STRONG LEADER, I AM PRAYING FOR NEWT/PERRY IN 2012!! Yes Newt, with all his baggage, is the man with the plan! This didn't start out as a campaign speech... WE NEED TO GET LOUD, HATE TO SAY IT BUT MAYBE OWS HAS AN IDEA...
I'm curious, you say you're against this and the Stellar Wind project and you're for Newt, but where does Newt stand on it? I've been ignoring Newt for some time because I don't think he has a chance, but where has he said he is in favor of freedom verses national security. Where does he stand on Stellar Wind, internet regulation, NDAA, Patriot Act, killing American citizens, going to war without a declaration from Congress... the list goes on.
I sorta assumed he was all for those things, like Romney is. I know Romney has said multiple times that he is for this big government oppression (he didn't put it in those words of course), and I swear I remember Newt agreeing with him.
If I'm wrong please let me know, it wouldn't be the first time, or the last.
"Ignorance is bliss" and sadly, I lead a blissful life. I had not heard of Stellar wind until yesterday and given the stage of it's progress, well, I'm glad I'm not in charge. It's very power and scope is frightening, but in the hands of this administration and particularly this cabinet, I can't begin to describe how nervous that makes me. Obviously I don't know where Newt stands on it but I would be more comfortable if it fell under his watch than obama's. What I know of Newt is no more than any other person would know, I have read some of his books, his website and have been impressed with what appears to be a well thought out plan for the future of this country and for what ails us now. He has an obvious passion for this country not shared by Romney, an uncanny knowledge of our history, something I feel is an absolute must for our next president if he is to lead us through a very uncertain landscape. Right now I think our country is on the edge of disaster and the person who is next elected to the office of President better be one of very strong beliefs in the greatness of this country, it's founders, and constitution and I truly believe that would be Newt. I also believe he would be the man who can effectively challenge obama. Romney is going to have a very difficult time on the stage with him considering what appears to be many shared beliefs. Newt has talked many times on the subject of national security and I do agree with most of what he has to say. I think his position on illegal immigration is a little hard to take, but I just don't see a mass deportation ever taking place either. Given the amount of money Romney has to spend though, all this long winded chatter of mine is more than likely for naught, because, sadly, as usual the money wins and Newt doesn't have much of a chance here.
I know what you are saying. There are many things I like about Newt, however I think far to much is being done in the name of national security. This is from Newt's website "Keeping Americans safe is the most important duty of government." I would disagree, I think protecting and preserving freedom is the most important duty of government. Is a false sense of security worth losing freedom? What's being done in the name of national security is not making the American people any safer, it's introducing them to tyranny, and when a candidate can't see that, I can't vote for that person.
I'm the first guy to blame Obama, unfortunately this issue has been perpetrated by both parties. I can't, come November, vote for a Newt or more likely Romney when I see them not only facilitating the loss of freedom, but championing it. It amazes me when they talk about the Constitution out of one side of their mouth, and with the other they support totalitarian control over the American people, and make no mistake, that's what they support even if they don't know it.
Anyway, we might agree or disagree on national security, but I was just curious of your opinion on Newt. If we can't listen to each others opinions, what hope do any of us have?
The one thing our government has failed to do is the only thing our constitution requires them to do and that is to keep us safe. They are going to great lengths NOT to do what is needed, for example, a secure border, making sure a person actually is legally allowed to vote before voting (you know, those racist policies), etc..We don't need to install billion dollar x ray machines in airports, and eavesdropping facilities in Utah. This has been going on for years and I would agree that the fixes introduced are actually stealing our liberties rather than protecting our citizens. There have been so many horrible policies put in place on both sides of the aisle that I wouldn't know where to start, but I know a start needs to be made dismantling years of abuse of our constitution, Newt is who I think is the best thing available right now but unfortunately, what has become a norm for me is I will walk into a voting booth and be forced to settle for the lesser of two evils rather than elect a great man. I just know of 300 million people we could do so much better.
I agree with you on what they're not doing. I think what's happening is that instead of keeping us safe from foreign enemies they are trying to keep us safe from ourselves. When a government does that, it inevitably leads to tyranny.
We can all be safe from ourselves if we all dressed the same, eat what and where the government tells us to, monitored 24/7 with cameras in every room of the house, told what to say and write as to not offend ourselves... the list goes on. That's not freedom though, that's tyranny.
I don't have to tell you that obviously, I wish I could tell any one of our candidates that though. There seems to be such a disconnect in what "keeping people safe" means to so many people we send to Washington.

Welcome to the new home of the Nazi's. Der Fuhrer will soon be providing instructions for all aspects of your daily life. Funny how he decides to update something from 1950 just now, and on a weekend. I fear for the republic now.
So where's Congress you ask?
He left them a note saying " I own you now!"
